SoundSource is not for recording. You may want to look into OBS (may be able to capture just Safari) or programs like Loopback & Audio Hijack for routing / recording audio from your macOS machine.
I saw the warning: 'A significant delay will be audible with this effects configuration.' Does enabling all effects cause a delay? For example, in a TH-cam video, will the audio and video stay in sync after effects are applied? Also, I’ve bought Audio Hijack and Loopback. Is it still worth purchasing SoundSource? thanks!
SoundSource does a different job. I use it often to get rid of noise in TH-cam videos and generally have control over my audio from different applications. In terms of delay: as long as you use real-time effects (aka ones made to also be used in live environments, or settings that limit delays) you should be fine. I am using a limiter & occasionally a noise reduction tool (Clear by Supertone) and have not noticed significant delays that would make viewing impossible.
Just found out about this App and it is amazing.
I still love it to this day. Especially the ability to run some audio plugins to normalize audio levels or to remove noise from stuff I play back.
great video, thank you
Glad you liked it!
Can you record safari with this?

its so expensive for what it is though...
Maybe, but it also is great to have for daily comfort. Definitely not a "must have for everyone".
