So my husband is a CPA (he is very to the books..aka black and white, NO gray areas) and I gave him a quick run down of this family and their channel…he said they can NOT write off the groceries because they are used for personal use and not business.
If she had a cooking show like Rachel Ray then she could write off items used because it takes place in a studio (at a business), but once it’s used as personal it can’t be written off. (i.e. if she’s feeding a celebrity guest on her show, at her business location, then her supplies can be written off; but since it’s at her home and her family eats the food it’s considered personal use)
Their constant eating out places, can NOT be written off. Again, if she had a business where she met with clients and took them out to lunch, then that CAN be written off; but once the food is feeding herself and/or her whole family its personal use.
Same with the van, can NOT be written off because the van was bought for personal use. If it’s used for personal travel there are also NO write offs (since she doesn’t have a business office space that she is driving from..let’s say, to go see a client, then she can NOT claim commuting. Also to note, say she had an office space and was driving from business to home or home to business that is considered personal use and can NOT be a write off; only from a business to a business location can be written off).
Her “back to school” haul at Dicks Sporting Goods can NOT be used as a write off either, if they had sponsored the family then there is way to go about filing with some specific tax form for sponsorships.
My husband also said “Of they are doing all
of this, they WILL get audited.” So, if they are writing all of this off and things don’t get approved by the IRS as a write off (who WILL assume it’s personal use because it’s going to the family) AND they don’t pay the what’s due back, they could have SERIOUS federal penalties.
So I’m assuming that whatever she gets paid from views on TH-cam must be going to these lavish shopping sprees/eating out…or else we’ll see some craziness happening. Also worth mentioning, the IRS is so backlogged; especially since the PPP loans…but that is a separate issue that will soon come to light for those who took PPP’s and used them for personal reasons.
    Hope that helps 😊

If it part of channel the business it considered business expenses . Restaurants do it and trust me they buying their own with their total. Basically technical they can cause system is broken. So laws proje t middle and lower class, the ma and pop shops are being exploited. People claim their is why they do house tours cause then only black and white it technical is being used for business. Cause some people starting out can't afford office so that how this stuff makes it cause they use law and stuff that they shouldn't qualify for to help them. Why think millionaire get away with paying so little.

I can't determine what's worse: the possibility that they did in fact eat all that in a week or the probability that half of it wasn't consumed and was thrown away. I imagine each kid has their particular cereal and that's why she bought so many different kinds. Guaranteed the kid won't eat more than half a box in a week. 100% agree! My mother was a narcissistic parent and she did this, when I was 14 I had a 19 year old boyfriend who was allowed in my room with the door shut and no interruptions 😬 it's disturbing to look back on now tbh! From the age of 10 til 18 I spent all my time trying to incite her to act like a parent instead of a "friend" and she ignored it all 🤣🤣🤣🤣🙈 she'd buy me alcohol and cigarettes every weekend for the exact same reason alisha gives for Deyshawn having his gf around and in his room, because we'd find a way to do it anyway basically... it was her way of telling herself she was an awesome parent 😬 my lil brother was so like Deyshawn aswell, he looked older than me when he was like 12 and had a girlfriend fall pregnant when he was only 13. He got left to his own devices apart from me trying desperately to parent him. My brother has no life skills now, he was raised on freezer and takeaway food so he doesn't even know how to open a goddam can of beans it's ridiculous 😒 just shows that this lax style of parenting causes issues as adults.

If the parents were prescribed something that can sometimes impair whatever, they would have to tell the caseworker what the medication was and why it's needed or whatever the case. And then when they were adopted, they just stuck with the same rules. My family used to go down to Sea Isle for a week with 2 other families and we all chipped in for groceries and stuff for the week. 6 adults, 9 kids, boy friends, girl friends, and friends of all kinds coming in and out…. We probably had 4 carts of groceries total? Maybe 5 or 6 because we bought in bulk and the boxes took up space.
The amount of soda adds up for me… 72 divided by 16 is only 4.5 - one a day probably when you take out the babies. Not as crazy as it seems imo. We’d get 8 to 10 boxes of 12 cans each too. Though there was often a few cans left at the end of the week.
But holy hell everything else. First why would you not buy in bulk. Second you don’t need to provide your kid every option for snacks every damn day of the week. Is each person really gonna eat a half gallon of gold fish over the course of a week on top of everything else wtf?!?

I had 22 people stay at my house for 4 days during Thanksgiving holiday a few years back. We do not each cheap, inexpensive junk. There were many children. I have no clue how many. We had cooked meals every meal (my mom didn’t believe in fast food) and we spent about $500-600 dollars. That was the whole thing including a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner with different meats. We had multiple sides and all of the desserts. My,other (God rest her soul) does not believe in cereal for breakfast. She cooked breakfast every morning. We had big men and teenage boys that eat all of the time. Although I did not ask for it, I had family members and friends leave us some cash for all the food they ate. I didn’t ask for anything as I invited them. We also shopped from our pantry…..what a novel idea. Alicia is feeding them junk and it is not helping them develop or heal from the trauma and FASD. She hasn’t given them a solid foundation of what proper foods are and portion control. Snacks are not FOOD! The bottle water and drinks are just too much. We have extra water because we live in a hurricane zone and you need to have water stored in general. We generally drink the filtered water from our fridge. Drinking it out of endless plastic bottles (chemicals) doesn’t help their suffering developing bodies.

This video made my stomach turn… to put in a nice way 🙃
The amount of sugar and processed crap in those carts are making my head turn.

I hope she donated the extras to a food bank. That the excess doesn't get dumped and can be given to the community who are struggling to get food on a budget

When’s she’s looking for uncrustables and says what are my kids gonna do for a week without uncrustables !!! Idk Alicia probably eat the 5 lb jar of peanut butter you bought… this is absolutely insane !! Who’s eating all this food?? There’s physically no way they are eating even a third of this food. I pray that she’s donating what they don’t use. This is just ridiculous!

She mentioned it on one of her recent vlogs that they donated the unfinished food. I was relieved tbh. No way they could finish carts of food in a week

FUN FACT* That particular grocery store is so expensive that us locals dont shop there, it's only really for tourists! Lol its the first thing you see when you come to OC . I just found your channel last night & I love it. You have me laughing so hard
I can't believe she's in my hometown on this Vacation! The crazy part is almost all of these tourists end of leaving everything they buy behind for the maids & cleaning crews . Everything in our grocery stores is priced higher to make more money off tourists since we are a tourist town & we dont sell liquor or have bars because its a dry family friendly island. So I hope she brought a case of her white claws! She's just an extremely bad over compulsive buyer with everything she does. She's a maniac for real. I can guarantee our cashiers were horrified with this amount of groceries!
