Really love it. Working on a puffy quilt and found a cool video that you sew the top as just squares sew 3 sides, turn them sew up one row fill sew across them up one row then across. So much faster and easier.

If you made the first block a bit bigger and stitched the second block in a half inch seam you should end up with the points intact when you trim. I love what you are doing. Makes me want to sew again.

Hmmmmm… not exactly sure what you mean. But losing the points looks scrappier so I’m good with that.

You would have to sew a border around the inside block if you really want to keep the points. Intact points really don’t matter unless you’re trying to follow a specific pattern where points and matching seams make the pattern stronger. It’s okay to deviate from rules when they don’t matter.

Darlene, do you have a video that shows how to cut a straight line on a a few yards of fabric? I have a long cutting table, quilting ruler, cutting mat, and rotary cutter but never cut a straight line
