    Wow! Great vid... & Swakopmund is an amazingly clean, stunningly beautiful, & perfectly exquisite city...!!!
    BTW... I couldn't help myself & just had to calculate the total amount of supermarket items at 24:24 into US dollars...
    ... It converts to about $78.67. Wow!!! Namibia wins again...!!! 👍 💪 👏 🏆 🧡

      Opening in 2016... two years of building. What’s very good here is there is a lot of parking space!

      @@FlatSwakop Gibt's öffentliche Verkehrsmittel zu der Mall? Oder einen Shuttle Service?
      Is there any public transport/bus line/shuttle service to the mall?

    They speak English and Afrikaans. ( but, I dond hear German or another language)

    • @FlatSwakop
      @FlatSwakop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      English is the official language and then comes afrikaans. Lot of people in Namibia speak Oshiwambo (80%). German is mostly only heard when Germans are among themselves.

      Flat Swakop thanks! I think it's ok 1 English 2 Afrikaans and oshiwambo. Nice mulicurtural as in Suriname ( south Amerika) I hope this will be for ever!

      @@FlatSwakop The name of the mall _"PlatzAmMeer"_ is actually German, meaning _"PlaceAtTheSea"._
      There are still thousands of Namibians with German heritage. There's a daily German newspaper in Windhoek called the _"Allgemeine Zeitung"._
      The Germans left a huge impact in Namibia, even after colonial rule, which officially ended in 1918. Many towns and streets still hold German names.
      But yeah, the language is in decline and mostly spoken at home. Same goes for Afrikaans. Today English is the official language and lingua franca.
