Its cause there aren't many reasons to stick around after doing some pirate legend stuff. Game is all gold for cosmetics but they don't update the in game shop. They do update the emphorium though for real money but that makes your game kinda irrelevant. If they update the shops more regularly with reasons for people to play then your crews will always play
Is it bad that I clicked here (as a mostly solo slooper) looking for ways to find other crews (I missed the obvious LFG tag in the title)? I have the best experience with almost everyone I meet. Whether we fight or ally I always learn something from them and hope they learn something from me. Thanks Phuzzy for helping me have the right attitude.
After my friends stopped playing SoT, I stopped as well because it wasnt fun for me sailing around the ocean alone. Im glad I found this video. I will deffinetly find some people to play

Please don't discriminate against no mic players. I have found mic players to be more annoying than no mic players. For example, I found this one mic player who kept calling every shot he got on meg. It was like 'I got 1 shot, 2shot 3 shot' How do you not get pissed playing with people like that? '
@@vivekjk6729 For me, of course if there is a mic person that is just plain annoying I’ll switch, but i personally find I hard to get a two-way communication going with someone who doesn’t use a mic compared to those that do. I have had great experiences with non-mic people but they tend to be able to communicate effectively over chat compared to most who wont answer a question as for whether they can hear me until five minutes in.

Almost every friend I met in SoT I met through Discord with just rarely a bad apple in it. Also.. I remember the group scene at the start. It was a fun event. Even found myself in the crowd. Didn't know you recorded it.
At first I understood "How to find other players in the sea?". This is a very helpfull video for newbies but maybe you may drop a guide video about finding other ships, look areas etc. Wouldnt say no :D

Xbox looking for group is fantastic for Sea of Thieves. The key is to make your own post so you can select the people who join and to put in the description "mature adults only" along with a description on what you plan to do be that tall tales, forts, pvp,or whatever. Avoid dumb elitist requirements like pirate legend only etc.

Loot island barrels, go onto islands with empty pockets every time unless you know for certain youre gonna have some pvp, look out for circling birds on the open seas (indicator of shipwrecks/floating barrels)
That depends on crew formation, Jackie is dedicated to supplying at all times, whole I focus on sweating and fighting 🤣 But something along the lines of your suggestion is coming, also Fighting Lion is right

This discord thing, is it only for PC users? Also, quick question Phuzzy, i have been playing on Series X and i always choose the ''Play with xbox only'' option. You think it would be wise to stop that and start playing with PC players as well to get more variety in pvp? Are PC players more skilled in general?
PC gives you easier control over aim, but some of my crew are Xbox players who take down PC players easy. As for Discord, you can use your phone to download the Discord app and join us 😊

I thought this video was about finding other ships, to sink or to make friends / alliances etc. If you made that kind of video I would certainly watch it. It could include things like watching emissary tables, locations for Athena runs etc., most common places to park your ship near each island (e.g. beaches near vaults). And then maybe a guide on how to avoid being spotted (using storms, fog, parking behind islands etc.). Cheers!
You dont need to be pirate legend to start tall tales, just look on map (zoomed enough to read island names) and look for icons above outposts or specific islands. That's where you start specific tall tales. Also, it tells you where when looking at the tall tale youre trying to do in the reputation/tall tales menu

I'm mainly solo and play mostly in a rowboat to avoid attention. I also run away a lot lol. I'd play with anyone who doesn't mind me just chilling and drifting about slowly completing voyages and avoiding pvp.
@@sterlingd1984 I always start off trying to do a voyage but get distracted easily. Normally end up just finding a rowboat and looking for washed up treasure or chests underwater close to islands. It was a miracle I managed to do the emissary challenges to get to rank 5, especially the order of souls one. I really only fight when I'm cornered, which normally ends up with me visiting the ship of the damned. Still fun though. Ended up wasting someone's time letting them chase me and trying to get them to hit a skeleton ship by accident. They gave up eventually.
I was looking for combat the only ship we could find was a sloop every time we got near they just scuttled the ship and ran to a mermaid and respawned that was the only ship in the server too
I play on OCE servers and its literally impossible to find decent players who play on a regular basis. I am forced to use SoT Discord which is American. Every game i suffer from 280 - 340 ping. As an Australian player this game simply isn't worth my time. Dead servers and no community. The players I do encounter are either elitist assholes that tell me to 'kms' or friendly noobs that ruin my experience due to a complete lack of understand basic mechanics. At times I attempt to join Asian servers and its a living nightmare dealing with people that dont speak English, troll open crews or bunny hop around playing music while I solo sail a fucking brig or gally, only to have them leave the server after taxing any supplies of value. Thank you for leaving with stacks of chain shot, cooked food and curse balls.
I have found the Sea of thieves community to either be extremely toxic or extremely annoying and nerdy. If you find a good group of players to play with cherish them!
It will vary, but some things while you don't necessarily need a crew for, it makes things a lot faster. Even simply collecting so much loot becomes so much faster with a few extra hands. Still Open Crew is generally just asking for trouble.

How can I start a tall tale if I am not a pirate legend?
You dont need to be pirate legend to start tall tales, just look on map (zoomed enough to read island names) and look for icons above outposts or specific islands. That's where you start specific tall tales. Also, it tells you where when looking at the tall tale youre trying to do in the reputation/tall tales menu
