While listening to this fruitful dialogue between two humble godly men, I dare „wish“to be able to turn the clock back several decades, only to start all over again as a student under such gifted teachers of the Bible! Since I dared venture into Bible translation (as a new Christian in 1975), motivated by Wycliffe to absolve the introductory course, I was instantly confronted with the high academic challenge of the linguistic expertise! Although taking a different path, the love and deep rooted appreciation for God‘s Word had there and then been eternally planted in my heart! Thanks to such highly gifted and dedicated lovers of truth!
I also pray this translation be the go-to-book for all faithful expositors from now on!! Grace be with you all!

@@gabrielkinzel3389 JM said on Fox News with Laura Ingram that his Church is the narrative for Covid being a lie. Okay I agree this a semantics problem. JM then gives his usual 99% recovery rate which gives people a false sense of security. @@lionheartmerrill1069 Pandemic or Epidemic whatever you chose to call it my point is some so called men of God surrendered the authority of their Church to the government and JM stood against the government from extending its power into the Church and stated without ambiguity that he supported DJT of the Republic party for president based on the fact that his policies aligned more with the policies of God and that of the Democratic Party was carved out from the end time Reprobate mind described by Paul in Romans 1:18-32.That is true leadership in the face of much confusion amongst Christians on how to decide. It has nothing to do with the personalities of JB or DJT, they are both unregenerated.
He takes them to the Word of God, His policies and shows the people what God says about the role of government in Romans 13:1-7. That is what it means to be a priest, representing God before the people.

There is 5332 manuscripts of the textus recepts and all 5332 agree with each other. Does anyone know what is the status for new orders for the goat skin, edge lined versions of the LSB to be back in stock?
It is so sad that there is not even an estimated date given on their website.
The reason that I have to wait for the most resilient cover, binding and stitching is that I’d rather buy this ONCE, and keep it for life. I have an older KJV Bible hat I used for years and in which I wrote all my personal chain reference notes and remarks. The faux leather binding is falling apart and the stitching and spine are not far behind. Rebinding usually involves the artisan cutting a few millimeters off of the text block to then re-stitch. This would send the text in all pages right into the gutter. I want to avoid this as much as I can with my next daily use Bible purchase.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. May the Lord bless you.

There is one verse I wish the translators would correct. John 3:16 is translated as “For God so loved the world”. This gives impression that God’s love is so vast to the world. However the verse is in context of verse 14 & 15; of Moses lifting up serpent in wilderness. The Greek in v16 looks back to this and says “For in the same way, God loved the world”. This is more accurate and stops this emphasis on God soooooo loved the world. Or as CEV translates it “For God loved the world so much.”

    • @nalaredneb78
      @nalaredneb78 ปีที่แล้ว

Either way the next part of the verse explains the 'so'. So, what evidence is there God loved the world? In a research paper you have to explain the "so what" or you would have no purpose in writing on a specific topic. Then in this way the reader will know what to be looking for.

Question. If Jesus name in the original language is Joshua/Yeshua(?) how come the Book of Joshua is not called the Book of Jesus and was there any distinction in these two names?
In other words was Joshua a normal name among the Hebrews and Jesus name something people had heard others called before or a unique name only to Him? I know that the Book of Revelation says that He will have a name written on Him that "no man knows."

Historically, the bible translations have been instrumental in furthering the church and culture.
    Examples:
    - Latin Vulgate: Roman Catholics who transformed Europe from pagan to world leading nations
    - German Bible: Martin Luther changed reformed the church and culture of Germany
    - Tyndale/Matthew Bible: Reformation of the church and developed great anglo literatures that we still read
    - Korean Bible: Transformed a pagan/poor culture into Judeo-Christian society that is now 12th largest economy
    - Mandarin Bible: More Christians in China than America... slowly accepting Judeo-Christian values. CCP will be gone in 20-40 years.
    - Spanish Bible: Look at Latin America who was still at cavemen stage before the gospel was shared there
The bible is the true word of God and is life transforming.

Psalms 12:1-8 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

My 2 cents. In any case, Yahweh IS NOT God's name. It's actually impossible when we understand the Name is an acronym. Yehovah is HASHEM. (Y)IHYEH (HOV)EH HAY(AH) Y'HOVAH (He who will be, He who is, He who was). And from Yehovah we get, Yeho-natan, Yeho-shaphat, Yeho-shua which became Yeshua (Jesus). To be able to read Yahweh you have to add two Aleph letters in Hebrew יאהואה which is not YHVH then.
2,000 plus Hebrew manuscripts read Yehovah with the full vowels, guess how many read Yahweh... ZERO. Facts are important. Now, the rabbis ruled that no Jew should ever say the Name because under occupation they were threatened by death sentence if they did. That became the norm and later on the custom and finally part of the Jewish religion. This might explain why the Jews had no problem to say that Name in the old testament but you don't see it in the new testament. I am extremely sad to see how this information that I sent to the team of translators of the LSB was not applied. You can't say Yahweh in Hebrew with YHVH. It is grammatically impossible. Yet they insist in this horrible error. This is probably the huge mistake the LSB will be known for and probably the reason why many will reject it. The translators of the KJV got it right. Yehovah which poetic contraction is Y'ah Y (ehov) ah.
