Master.. I was planning to build my personal All-Rounder setup.. My Rod would be the Jabbers Wanderlust WC655 Casting Rod. my Choice of Reel would be the Tranx 401HG.. May I ask if this can cast a 5g Minnow? Im planning to take this out for shore casting (5 - 40 grams ibabato ko) and light jigging up to 250g (basta slow pitch kaya nung rod).. na try niyo po ba mag cast ng mga minnows? Salamat po advance... Thank you more fish to come! ❤
Sad to say master. There is no such thing as all around set up. Of course you can use it but my experience is pag tagal hahanap ka ng dedicated setup for jigging and for casting. For casting 20-40g lures mga size 100 to 200 with my line no heavier than 20lb braid line but I wouldn’t go lighter than 20g lure. With lighter lures less 20g, I would use no more than 15lb braid and less. I would use 7ft to 7’6” casting rod. Slow jigging would be size 300 to 400 depending on the line capacity you need but I wouldn’t use heavier than 30lbs so I can load up to 300m line and lures not heavier than 200g. Heavier lure means you’re planning to jig more than 200m then you need line capacity of at least about 500m so you need an overhead reel i.e. Torium 2000. Rod length 6’3”. Hope this helps.
