    The Score & Snap method is by far the best technique, and Chris makes it look easy!

    How to cut a Lexan body like a pro. Step 1: Be HemiStorm. Step 2: Success.

    Dude?!?! Whaaat??? I literally had the toy as a kid (40 now). Even had the gas station base! Had the black s10 blazer truck too, can't remember the name. Can't wait to see the final product.👍👊🍻

    I had the original toy with the driver figure many years ago, it was my favourite thing ever. Press a button on top and the doors became wings and jet engines appeared out back. I loved the cartoon as a kid. That and Thundercats. Can't wait for the painting video, it's going to be awesome.

    Man I love how you do these videos.
    I really need to stop using the lexan scissors hahaha.
    I mamage ok but.
    I need to step my game up on this type of stuff.
    I'm getting more daring on paint but nothing close to what you do haha.
    Like not close at all.
    But in time.
    I like how you added the low vision tip, as I am legally blind (low vision).
    But I have my tricks haha.
    As always man.
    Amazing work.
    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍👍😎.
    Great call on the I-Roc z28 as well.

    Come on, guys! If everyone of us would have the awesome RC stash that Chris owns, I can swear that most of us would be able to cut, paint and bash almost as fine as Hemi does.
    Joking. There will always be people more skilled than another, but sure we´d have a ton more of practice!
    Please stay safe, cheers from Spain!

    I used to do that my friend but when I started working on a sheet metal place I started using the red and green snips from wiss. Which leaves a nice clean cut. You can get them at The Home Depot.

    Each one of your video i watch gives me more confidence to do better. Each body i do gets a little better. I'm still scared of scoring. So far I always F it up and slip or go off line. So I'm super careful with the scissors, do like 2 or 3 cuts before the final and always leave .5mm or less to sand and get a nice smooth edge that way. Someday I'll get the score thing down.

    I'm painting a body with a lot of greens, cobalt green then a bright and a fluorescent then yellow scallops shapes. should I back each color in white? the lighter green I understand I should but would a bright green mess up a cobalt green. as of now, my plan is to back each color so I'll start with the cobalt green back then the bright green, back it then the last green, back it then the yellow, and the final backing but I feel this might be overkill? what you think the order of these paint should be?
    just waiting on the white backer. after this green body, I'm painting a pink and purple 55 bel air.

    • @hemistormrc
      @hemistormrc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you aren't sure, you can always test on a scrap piece, but usually a lighter color doesn't affect a darker color that much. A very light coat of white before proceeding can be a wise choice though. Have fun!

    Where can I find the sanding block??

  • @mutosanrc1933
    @mutosanrc1933 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    its much more difficult to cut it with the knife then with a scissor. Not everyone can hold it that steady and I use a proxxon (like a dremel) for sanding. Just slow rpm and its fine.

    Extra wide non-scale looking 1/10th scale car bodies are FUGLY!! Add some fender flares or model it after something that has a widetrack like a supercar.
    That fugly Camaro body would look amazing if they modeled it after an IMSA style road racing Camaro with fender flares
