This is a #full video #build of a famous Hasegawa #Harrier kit, repacked by Eduard. The set #1166 features a British BAE Harrier Gr.7 and GR.9 Variants with Cartograf decals and Brassin resin from Eduard. The build shows Master modeler Mr. Milan Mitev and his personal approach towards the model, with extreme scratch build engineering. The ideas embedded in the project are not impossible for the advanced modeler, but are hard to be replicated and require a lot of time and devotion. The Gr.9 that Milan is building in the video features:
- Movable canopy
- Movable flaps
- Retractable undercarriage
- Movable stabilizers
- Movable rudder
-Movable airbrakes
The plane can be presented with three modes: flying, hovering and parked. This is pretty extreme when it comes down to scale modeling and especially in that scale.
The kit is the famous /rather old/ tooling from Hasegawa, who offered many different options for McDonnell Douglas and BAE Harriers. This of course, can be done with other kits, although the engineering of the moving parts will be different.
The resin and the photo-etch parts featured in the Eduard repacked can be exchanged and bought separately, since there are other offerings from different companies for the Harrier from Hasegawa.
Those include pilot seats, cockpits, nozzles and wheels.
