Those sea lice shouldn't be screwing around at the mouth of the inlet, it's dangerous for everybody.

There were 8+ blocking the mouth, how is the boat at that speed gonna maneuver around the blockade party? I can't see an opening.

I agree that cap should've seen that jet ski, but at the same time, the jet skier needs to go somewhere else and play.
This is almost like kids playing in the street.
I'm emailing my state senators and reps to pass legislation to make it illegal for jet skis to be in the inlets anywhere in Florida. They are a menace to society.

A required minimal amount of training could probably correct the issue. As it stands, jet skiers often seem to know nothing.

AMEN! The BEST thing the US Park Service ever did was outlaw PWC's at the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.
A USCG captains license should be required to operate any power vessel capable of carrying over 5 people, and passing a US Power Squadron course required to operate any power vessel. Plain and simple, most of the people in these videos do not have the knowledge or experience to be at sea.

Totally agree with your assessment of round 2 but that Leopard in round three just annihilated Haulover to make up for it…
If that jet ski had turned left instead of right that would have been tragic. While the jet skis are a menace, that captain should not have been that close.
You’re right…they were both idiots. Should have been a double loss, making the score “Haulover 4 - Boats 2”.
That first boats motor was trimmed all the way in!!! No wonder the bow was stuffing :O
The Jet skis should not be lolly-gagging at the entrance of the inlet. They need to be aware and moving with purpose
Let’s just sit in the middle of a really busy inlet and expect not to get hit…
If I was on patrol near that inlet and witnessed him come that close to the ski at that speed he would have been the lucky recipient of a safety boarding and a sobriety test. Careless operator showing a great way to get people killed.

RULE 13 Overtaking
(a) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Rules of Part B, Sections I and II, any vessel overtaking any other shall keep out of the way of the vessel being overtaken.
(b) A vessel shall be deemed to be overtaking when coming up with another vessel from a direction more than 22.5 degrees abaft her beam, that is, in such a position with reference to the vessel she is overtaking, that at night she would be able to see only the sternlight of that vessel but neither of her sidelights.
(c) When a vessel is in any doubt as to whether she if overtaking another, she shall assume that this is the case and act accordingly. (d) Any subsequent alteration of the bearing between the two vessels shall not make the overtaking vessel a crossing vessel within the meaning of these Rules or relieve her of the duty of keeping clear of the overtaken vessel until she is finally past and clear.

PWC’s should be required by law to remain close to the sides of an inlet!? When it comes to an inlet, they shouldn’t be allowed to be more than “15 feet” of the shore unless it’s too dangerous to do so!? 🙏🤷🏼♂️

Idk man ... that last one should probably have been a loss. It was way too close to the ski. The twerker was very unpleasant, but that one was downright dangerous.
The jet skies should give way to the boats since the skies are more maneuverable with more nuts running them. They remind me of dirt bikes on a hard road playing chicken with cars , not the brightest thing to do.

On #5-seems to me that situations like that are why boats have horns. Wonder if he gave a warning blast? If so-I’d call it a win; and I think the “sea lice” descriptor is spot-on. But if no horn-that’s just reckless.

The jet ski that got buzzed was STOPPED! In the fly zone! Ridiculous behavior. They should be banned within 100 yards of the inlet.
