I was in the Navy in 1967 assigned to a special destroyer that was to keep track of Russisn ships. We had special people on board who were keeping all communication secrets. We pulled some very secret missions. I know how you must have felt with those ships off to your side. The only difference was they would try to ram us and we would have to get moving because we were not supposed to be there. Happy Saling

I recommend you avoid aluminum foil for cooking unless your food is wrapped in parchment first, aluminum leeching into the food is extremely bad. I appreciate the attention to detail you guys had throughout the experience. The 9x is a beautiful vessel.

Either those were SIGINT collection platforms who regularly park off our coast from NY to FL, or they were in transit on their way to friendlier Cuban waters for a stop.
Yea hiding in safe waters far away from Ukraine sinking them .... Remember G20 held in Australia not long after MH17 shot down and Putin came to Australia and was fishing off Queensland Australia and saw several Russian ships in the distance, few hours later one of our LHD was in the area also. later read they followed the Russian ships until left Australian waters. Came back to port 2 days later and had 5 Australian navy ships outside our local port. never seen them before.

In the video at least, It appears to have a fairly small awkward view through the front and side windows...that would make me neevous. For that reason, I'll have to shop for a different 90' boat. Dude what I would do when it's coming to filling the boat up with diesel since that boat holds a whole lot of diesel I'm thinking about 55000 gallons maybe it's just to go to your auto parts store and buy a car gas cap 2 of them would be a fact cause you can leave one in each field field port and when you get the nozzle you take the gas cap and you jam it in to the handle of the nozzle and you don't have to hold it for an hour while the boat fills up with diesel
Looks like this one will do it. Working on them and running them are two different things. Sure, they can run fast and we had it up over 40kt on another trip, but not for long. I myself don't know enough about those engines and drives to say much, but this captain is educated well on the matter and has learned from the right people how to run the boat. Right people being other Pershing captains and the techs who work on the engines and drives.

I've asked this on a number of boating channels but never gotten an answer. Has anyone used Rain-X on their windshields to help keep water from beading up. I've been using it on my car/truck windshields for decades and works great, even in heavy rain, in fact there has been times when the wipers couldn't get the rain off fast enough so I'd turn them off and would be able to see better.
Well today is your lucky day.... Sure they have used it. Some like it, some use other products. I don't recall what Cpt. Joe uses on this boat... But I do know that there is some fancy soap we used for everything that I believe has wax or something in it to help water bead off. We did get into some large spray last week on the boat and the water was running off pretty good in my opinion. And I believe he had only been using that special soap. Although it's possible other products are applied less frequently.
@@TripSmith Over on the Parely Revival channel they're partners on a new spray that's supposed to get rid of salt buildup on boats and it's eco friendly. Forget the name.
I discovered the magic of Rain-X back in the late 80's with my first car, 1972 Karmann Ghia which had the worst, slowest little wiper and it helped immensely. I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida now and this is the rainy season that includes a regular afternoon downpour and Rain-X works so good, sometimes I won't use the wipers.

Since it cruises at 28 knots and it's not that much further to go south, it makes sense. I hear ya on wetting the teak... But that would really only help when you first start unless you wet it again as it got full....
There are a number a variables that determine that. This captain is full-time on the boat and I came aboard for the trip back from the Bahamas. Pay can range anywhere from $150/day for a deckhand to maybe $800/day for a captain. But that is always different it seems. My first one, I did for free to get my foot in the door!

Does the ac system run off lithium batteries or does one engine need to be running? If batteries how big is the bank and is there any solar panels hidden in the design of the boat?
You filmed history I believe those were Russian cruisers returning from naval exercises in Cuba that took place over the summer don’t know when this was filmed but if it was as recent as it was posted those ships were also escorting several nuclear submarines probably u passed over them without knowing and why the Russian ships left u alone.
Some of the food was leftover from when the owner was onboard that he and his guests didn't consume. So it would have gone bad. Provisions are covered by the owner ordinarily. Sometimes you have a set per diem, or if you are trusted, you get a credit card or are reimbursed for expenses.
I love the channel and I love your content, and I was pretty stoked to check out the “FREE” sample pack of the LMNT sticks, but I was disappointed to learn that there’s nothing “free” about it. You can either get a “free” sample pack of 12 sticks IF you purchase something else, OR, you can purchase the “free” sample pack for $20. Just seems a little deceiving and although I’m sure the company needs to consider their costs and their bottom line, it would probably be wiser to not market it as a “free” sample. Just leaves a bad taste in your mouth, no pun intended, or at the very least, it leaves you disappointed that you’ve got to shell out $20 if you want to try their product before…ummm…purchasing it?? Not your fault, but felt like I should say something because the “free sample” isn’t what they claim it is and that could reflect poorly on you for using the same verbiage. I’m sure it’s a great product and you seem to appreciate it, so I may come back around to consider trying it down the road, but for now, I’m going to refrain from purchasing the “free sample”, just out of principle.

@@TripSmith Yes, especially acidic or salty foods. They can leach aluminium out of the foil and aluminium is HELLA bad for your body.

I love the channel and I love your content, and I was pretty stoked to check out the “FREE” sample pack of the LMNT sticks, but I was disappointed to learn that there’s nothing “free” about it. You can either get a “free” sample pack of 12 sticks IF you purchase something else, OR, you can purchase the “free” sample pack for $20. Just seems a little deceiving and although I’m sure the company needs to consider their costs and their bottom line, it would probably be wiser to not market it as a “free” sample. Just leaves a bad taste in your mouth, no pun intended, or at the very least, it leaves you disappointed that you’ve got to shell out $20 if you want to try their product before…ummm…purchasing it?? Not your fault, but felt like I should say something because the “free sample” isn’t what they claim it is and that could reflect poorly on you for using the same verbiage. I’m sure it’s a great product and you seem to appreciate it, so I may come back around to consider trying it down the road, but for now, I’m going to refrain from purchasing the “free sample”, just out of principle.

We don’t own the entire ocean my guy they’re 30 miles off the coast we only own 10 miles of the coast so anything outside of that is international waters if you’re upset about that then why aren’t you upset about the US being in Chinese ocean and Russian watersbig dummy Americans are not smart

I am sure other watchers are wondering what in the world are Russian warships doing so close to the US. I doubt you were in international waters, so that is something that should be reported to the authorities. No joke.
