Welcome back to another episode where man and machine attempt to do battle with Haulover Inlet!
This episode we are back home at Haulover Inlet. Who will take the win this week between Haulover Inlet and the Boats?

My oldest is in the USCG, but stationed in VA
Even if the Coast Guard loses they win in my book they always win. They make up for their strike by Saving Lives

Haulover used to be my inlet when I kept my boat at a marina is south Florida. I never stuffed the bow there, but I went off a wave one day and found nothing underneath me. We hit so hard, I couldn't believe the windshield didn't crack. That was a 32 foot Wellcraft deep v with twin 454 Crusaders in it.

I had a 17 ft Bayliner cabin cruiser. It was a good boat. I went in the ocean a couple of times.

@@MegaSling VIP is a thing but not that thing. IMP was the first boat I remember being on. It's definitely an IMP. Plus it literally says it on the side.

Okay, I get that the H is your breadwinner,,, but - for such a small platform in a treacherous matrix - to pretend that the H beat that Bayliner is just bias. 4-1 cold, but the H is not to be trifled with. PS: Is that Coast Guard boat one of the ones that is designed to right after tutling?

@@ChowdongsFameCrew I've got a Bayliner T22 Trophy that I cross to Bimini on without issue. Handles 2 to 4 foot seas all day long. I've been out in 3 to 5's fishing all day but I wouldn't cross in those seas.
@MegaSling I crossed the Gulf of Mexico in my 23' Trophy in a storm. Very seaworthy.

I don't see where the Bayliner lost I think he done pretty good I didn't see anything over the bow or anyting but I've got a Bayliner to a 20 ft center console and I've been through rough water like that also and it's done really good have a blessed day brother be safe 🙏

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a stuffing as bad as that tow boat. That would have sank a lot of boats.

I just passed over the Haulover bridge. Windy today but I didn't see anything crazy. It was only a snapshot view.
No doubt towboat guy is having to live that video down back at the dock.

That's got to be a little unnerving as a captain. Cruising out of the inlet, looking a little rough... "Hey, why are the drones and cameras following me?" Might be time to reconsider...
Bad call on the Bayliner, he never actually stuffed it. You said he broke down shortly after he got out of the inlet, the show is called "Boats vs Haulover" not boats vs shortly after they got out of the inlet.
Think I just witnessed a mega-stuffing by the tow boat.
I'm not going to lie, I was kind of rooting for the Bayliner. Too bad they broke down out there.

Hahahaha, That wasn't a Bayliner, it was a VIP and they went outta business many years ago. Bayliner has been in business since 1957. They're the world's largest manufacturer of boats and is part of the Brunswick Boat Group who also make Boston Whaler, Sea Ray, Crestliner and many more. Tow Boat U.S. should be embarrassed. LOL.

We know Bayliners are an economy boat and not ideal for offshore use, but your comments about them was snarky and smug. At least these people are out on the water and enjoying themselves.

Going out in conditions like this in a vessel that is not equipped or designed to handle it is dangerous. It's dangerous for the crew, it's dangerous for anyone who has to get involved in trying to rescue them if they mess up and sink and need rescued. It's called having the proper equipment for the job. Just like you wouldn't tow a 30 foot boat with a Honda Civic, you shouldn't take a lake boat with a low bow into the ocean during heavy sea conditions. There is a perfectly good lake they could be on where it wouldn't put them and others at risk.
You don't take that Bayliner out of Haulover cut unless you want to get injured. That's his tone, and most agree.
