- Jackson Heights (Urdu: جیکسن ہائیٹس) is a Pakistani light comedy-drama serial, that follows the lives of overseas Pakistanis and Indians living in the Jackson Heights neighborhood of New York City in Queens. The plot of the serial revolves around six expatriates working in Jackson Heights in New York City

Salma works very hard at Haseena Beauty Salon. The owner of the salon Aalia is a good friend of Salma. Salma stays with her mother-in-law and step daughter Iman and is the sole breadwinner of the house. Her mother-in-law is cruel to her and makes shrewd remarks on everything she does. Later in the series it is revealed that Salma's husband Sikandar is a convict doing his time in prison and has been released early due to good behaviour. Sikandar is abusive towards Salma and has no constant source of income. He gambles and mugs people and sells stolen watches and cell phones in the gray market.
Imran Bhatti is a cab driver with a heart of gold. All the other cabbies of the neighbourhood admire and respect Bhatti very much. Bhatti came to New York fifteen years back on a tourist visa and has never been able to go back to Pakistan because of his illegal visa status. Bhatti has told everyone in his family that he owns a cab company in the US. His ailing mother lives in Pakistan with his older brother and sister-in-law who treat her badly.
Bhatti is married to an American woman Kathy as part of a citizenship deal. Kathy is mean and rude towards Bhatti. Kathy's daughter Isabella shares this attitude with her mother. Her son Mark however, is close to Bhatti and looks up to him.

Whenever I m tense or have mood swings..I switch on to this drama..Its the best..Watching bhatti sahab is a treat to watch..
I am Indian and trust me I loved this program. So meaningful so real. Loved it. Every lower middle class young boy suffers the problem what was suffered by jamshed...and also it is a lesson for those who think going USA going to solve problems... It is a big No... Kudos to makers... And acting is also brilliant.....

I have watched it several times. It reminds me the days I had spent as a cabbie. This is he story of every 2nd cabbie. That time the dinner shown here was not there. The idea of making drama on this issue was marvelous. Till day, I could not decide what is the reason behind watching it again and again. Also unable to figure out that this drama is a cause of pleasure for me OR painful. It is kind of very mixed feelings, that hard time away from the family, loosing parents, missing the childhood of kids. Of course, it is a story of every person waiting for papers/ legal status. After wasting two, three decades when we get to some point, we realize that now, we have citizenship but also we have lost everything. And I mean Everything. Dialogues between Maa jee and Bhatti sahib are very heart wrenching.
I saw such a touchy story after a long time. It,s really casted on present time story of family, friends , couple and migrants . How beautifully all the problems played by so simply great artists of Pakistan.God bless you all loving people. Being a member of Sindhi family I always see Specially Pakistan serials with my children and share views with each other. God bless you all Directors, and specially playback singer .🌹🙏👍

Although I have watched this drama 2 years ago but unwillingly started watching again after watching Dhoop Kinare n realised there is Marina Khan also... Dhoop kinare 1984 ws her first drama n see how fast 38 years passed by... Time is so cruel indeed....
i have watched this drama after watching few clips on TikTok. this is a under rated mater piece of art. Every character performed his character so well that you can't take off your eyes for a second. The story line, the acting and the background music everything was just perfect. And Bhatti sab played by Noman Ejaz was flaw less. Thanks for uploading this amazing drama. the credit goes to the director and the actors. Hats off.

Can someone add subtitles to this drama. It is a masterpiece with v little production etc issues. This drama gives the vibes of old PTV dramas. My husband can’t understand Urdu properly hence subtitles would be great! I am introducing him to Pakistani dramas. He has been watching Haute channel of Ms Aamna & Mr Hassan & is impressed with their work

I feel really sorry when people consider overseas Pakistani as money making machine and they keep on asking for things as if the person gets it for nothing....they don't feel for those people who are earning outside their country with limited resources and do their best to comfort their relatives back home.

EXcellent direction, cast, acting, story line, attention to detail, and VERY entertaining!! I live here in the US, and understand the way of life in NY even though I don't live there (Thank Heavens!?) I also used to love watching shows on Urdu1 official, until it began all those Turkish (dubbed in Urdu) shows - Not my cup a tea!?
