- Jackson Heights (Urdu: جیکسن ہائیٹس) is a Pakistani light comedy-drama serial, that follows the lives of overseas Pakistanis and Indians living in the Jackson Heights neighborhood of New York City in Queens. The plot of the serial revolves around six expatriates working in Jackson Heights in New York City

Salma works very hard at Haseena Beauty Salon. The owner of the salon Aalia is a good friend of Salma. Salma stays with her mother-in-law and step daughter Iman and is the sole breadwinner of the house. Her mother-in-law is cruel to her and makes shrewd remarks on everything she does. Later in the series it is revealed that Salma's husband Sikandar is a convict doing his time in prison and has been released early due to good behaviour. Sikandar is abusive towards Salma and has no constant source of income. He gambles and mugs people and sells stolen watches and cell phones in the gray market.
Imran Bhatti is a cab driver with a heart of gold. All the other cabbies of the neighbourhood admire and respect Bhatti very much. Bhatti came to New York fifteen years back on a tourist visa and has never been able to go back to Pakistan because of his illegal visa status. Bhatti has told everyone in his family that he owns a cab company in the US. His ailing mother lives in Pakistan with his older brother and sister-in-law who treat her badly.
Bhatti is married to an American woman Kathy as part of a citizenship deal. Kathy is mean and rude towards Bhatti. Kathy's daughter Isabella shares this attitude with her mother. Her son Mark however, is close to Bhatti and looks up to him.

This is one of my favourite drama, based on how overseas Pakistani's live, with struggle, sacrifice, separation from loved one's. I was surprised that it's written by Vasay Chaudrey, who's appeared in other drama's films and host's Mazaaq Raat. I love Nauman ijaz's role as bhatti.love Adeel Hussain.

Itsl heartwarming to see the simple beautiful bonding between Indians and Pakistanis when both are far away from home. They find friendship,family and solace in each other when two countries are at odds always.. ❤️
Similar culture & language &the most economic struggles of both countries are the same .It is so close to reality that I is highly commendable in Drama version .I have lived in Uk & USA &it represents the True picture of the struggle of immigrants &early settlers & the behavior of the families left back at Home -India/Pakistan.What a Masterpiece.very Enjoyable.

Kabuli Pulao serial is vry popular in Pak these days. Zee5 has bought it's rights. 'Ve u watched Parizaad/Ranjha Ranjha kerdi/Doraha.they worth watching. Marina's brother Zerak was my czn's class fellow. If u didn't know they r frm a Nawabi Pakhtoon family frm former princely state of Tank( in KPK province)her father was in airforce. Mother was a gori of british descent. But I think she was brought up in south Asia.her mother used to speak English in a desi accent.
