WOW this is definitely an upper grade production, with fabulous stars, excellent direction & seasoned acting!! This is a blend of educated modern thinkers in Pakistan, vs. the rich & backward traditional thinkers who believe Islam was made for men & women should obey men. As a Hindustani settled in the US for most of my life, I cannot even imagine that people in the 21st century still oppress women, let alone a whole religious community that uses Quraan & Islam as their excuse. As far as I know, after studying religion - Islam is not as bad as some rigid followers who give it a bad name & now the world looks upon Islamists with skepticism & fear. Let's hope this drama sends out positive social messages, and not those underlying messages of "women were made to suffer" NONsense!!

I know! I got hooked five years ago. But does it bother you that they never show any Hindus in their dramas? It is really beginning to bother me. Yet a lot of Indians keep watching, including me, however even in old Bollywood movies there are always characters from other religions. Just curious what other Indians think...

I disagree!! As a woman, I refuse to encourage Pakistanis to oppress women & make it look acceptable. Their dramas are as good as the social messages they put out - WOMEN need to make it known that abuse, oppression & ill-treatment in this day and age is UNacceptable. Buck up & stop sugaring the bitterness this society dishes out!!
