That's why St. Jimmy rarely comes around, and when it is, it's to guide Jesus in a path of as much violence and everything that he can do. In Homecoming, Jesus realizes that St. Jimmy has to go, and releases him from his head. So they were the same person physically, but never the same mentally. Someone fact check me

My personal thoughts: Letterbomb was phenomenal Johnny needs improvement St Jimmy was ok. Could be better Whatsername was great! Heather was great too Jesus of Suburbia was one of the best performed songs in this production The camera work sucks
About the camera work: did you expect something like the Hamilfilm? Because the Hamilfilm was shot once in front of an audience, and then many more times without any audience. Such a recording would require the cameramen to get on stage for close-up shots, which can't be done in front of an audience. So as far as filming one actual show goes, this is as good as it could be. You should be thankful that a high-quality recording even exists.

alot of times that is the actors no the sound, it is often hard to fix. it depends on the size of the house as well. The sound in general is just bad. This is an incredibly hard show to do as an actor. It requires constant singing and dancing without alot of stopping for breaks. We are wokring on it on my school right now
I can't put in words how amazing everyone's acting was in this! ESPECIALLY St. Jimmy!!! Oh my god, she adds so much charm to the backup dances from the very beginning every single time she's on stage! Absolutely brilliant!
i know it’s a big point of contention here in the comments but i actually really loved the guy playing johnny’s voice. i think it’s perfect for the overall aesthetic of the show and plus i just personally liked it. awesome performance!!
I know every all the lyrics of this album, because was a time when I was so so into Green Day, but I totally lost the track, now this album turned into a Broadway musical... This goes to my list of "Things I didn't spect"
As a theater kid who has seen been on sides of a production, many times over, this show is a nightmare to pull off but so rewarding when everything lines up. It’s my dream show to perform. And as someone who has seen people go though some very shitty things while working on 2-3 productions at once, I’m always impressed with the storyline behind each actor’s journey to opening night. Props to everyone involved, fantastic job!
this cast was so great!! whatsername, heather, st jimmy, and will all have such amazing voices! and everyone did so amazing! i hope i can be in a performance of this show some day

29:10 OH MY GOD. A FEMALE ST. JIMMY??? 😱😍😍 Sorry if I'm late to the party here. This is the first time I'm seeing any other version of this. American Idiot was only done once in Manila, and it was by a local group.
Absolutely fantastic. Cannot praise these guys enough. Cannot believe we have not come across this before. Nailed it. We have seen many different versions and casts. This is brilliantly done. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you (the words of an AI god!)
The performances are great, but I feel like if you don't know green day or the album story, you'd have no idea who any of these characters are or the full story. I'm a huge green day fan and even I had trouble figuring out who some of the characters were supposed to be. It almost feels like something meant to be exclusive to green day fans, which kind of sucks a little bit.
I loved their version of this show and Good Riddance at the end just made me smile. They all looked so genuinely happy and looked like they were having a great time. God I love theatre

33:56 That was the heaviest and most hardcore musical break I've ever heard in "Give Me Novocaine." Holy shit that was good!
American Idiot is not an album; it’s art. Classic art.
Lindsay Pearce singing 21 Guns is everything I didn’t know I needed
guy who played will has an awesome voice.
I know right I just played will inn a local production I wish i could play the part as well as he did
jesus who did the mics/ sound for the show all i could hear was heavy breathing
Ashley IKR
alot of times that is the actors no the sound, it is often hard to fix. it depends on the size of the house as well. The sound in general is just bad. This is an incredibly hard show to do as an actor. It requires constant singing and dancing without alot of stopping for breaks. We are wokring on it on my school right now
Ashley W hahahahaha that's called an artistic choice my friend
Lucio Iva well that sure is an awful sounding artistic choice
Ashley W agreed
Best album of all time who's with me?
Here here!
How the audience can sit still is beyond me...🤗🤔
You can't just stand up even if you want to. The people sitting behind you would kill you. It's the same with seats in a concert. If you sit, you sit.
You've clearly never gone to a theatre play.
I can't put in words how amazing everyone's acting was in this! ESPECIALLY St. Jimmy!!! Oh my god, she adds so much charm to the backup dances from the very beginning every single time she's on stage! Absolutely brilliant!
Man they really killed it with Letterbomb. Such passion!
doing this show at my college next year - this made me really excited for it!!! great production
Dude St. Jimmy is hot
You're very correct
Azrael Pagdonzolan when played by Billie Joe, I completely agree
*hornynes intensifies*
I know,,,, I'm so gay,,,
They rushed some of the songs and I’m not crazy about the guy who played Johnny, but overall good show.
gajjit I agree! There are good parts if this and some parts I’m like eh about
i know it’s a big point of contention here in the comments but i actually really loved the guy playing johnny’s voice. i think it’s perfect for the overall aesthetic of the show and plus i just personally liked it. awesome performance!!
I know every all the lyrics of this album, because was a time when I was so so into Green Day, but I totally lost the track, now this album turned into a Broadway musical... This goes to my list of "Things I didn't spect"
as a theatre kid that had an shitty emo phase i respect this .
Love this. I know I'm late to finally get round to watching this. I feel so gracious to have the freedom to watch this performance as it is. Thanks!
thank you so very much for posting this. i'm a green day stan and a theater nerd 😭😭 i didn't know this existed before this fine night
The vocals just got progressively better throughout the show, and I love that
I can't believe I am only seeing this now... Amazing... I loved St. Jimmy and the whole cast...
Just watched this front to back for the first time and oh my god I never thought I’d tear up but I did 😅
I love the musical's take on 21 Guns, it gives me chills every time!
31:11 I love how his voice gets weak when he says "I shot drugs for the first time today" its so cute I-
this cast was so great!! whatsername, heather, st jimmy, and will all have such amazing voices! and everyone did so amazing! i hope i can be in a performance of this show some day
The choreography and stage production were so amazing in this
I love picking this version to pieces with my closest theatre friends who are Green Day fans first. We were also in this earlier this year, so you know we have a lot to say 😂
Loved St. Jimmy. This musical can by played so many different ways I love to see the diversity
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS YOU ARE AMAZING AND I LOVE YOU!
My punk rock phase and my musical theatre phase mixed together
Using this to figure out what happens in this musical for a school project. Thank you for uploading this. It’s great.
I think that Will, Tunny, Whatsername, Heather and St Jimmy were absolutely fantastic. I think that the ensemble were also amazing :)
I just saw my friend in a production done in southern New Mexico and it was fantastic. This show was so great!! I honestly cried a few times in the show
tbh i think johnny's voice in this is pretty cool. i know it sounds whiney and shit but that's why i love it. it's just funny tbh
did you have to be ripped asf to be in this?
Rachel Carmody nope, they just happen to be in good shape. I imagine it's from the amount of dancing required in this show.
Hercules Mulligan A TAILOR SPYIN ON THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT
going to the gym is sooo punk!
Samantha Victoria I TAKE THE MEASUREMENTS INFORMATION ANS THEN I SMUGGLE IT
Lol Ik I’m late but whatever
Fr
The man who played Tunny's performance during Give Me Novocain was amazing. The high note he hit I legitimately prefer over the original song.
1:20:00-1:20:40 The Extraordinary Girl totally stole this shot. That face conveys a thousand times more sadness than everyone else in the musical combined.
21 guns is the best part of this whole musical, the whole tension builds in, until Heather had to ruin it with her cheetah coat
the girl who played Whatserhame did a great job here
I keep repeating the part where she articulates _like a LIAR looking for forgiveness_
Saw this last night at the Sydney Opera House, now I'm watching it again! It was such a great show haha
I wish I could've seen this live! The adrenaline would live with me forever.
Saw the show in Oxford, UK. I still get shivers when i think of it.
Never knew Harley Quinn was st jimmy 😂
Krei Wyndham- my thoughts exactly
Krei Wyndham haha 😂😂
ADGIEHJWIAHSHAJKKA
Krei Wyndham IM CRYING😂😂😂
29:10 OH MY GOD. A FEMALE ST. JIMMY??? 😱😍😍
Sorry if I'm late to the party here. This is the first time I'm seeing any other version of this. American Idiot was only done once in Manila, and it was by a local group.
Nice redo, Los Angeles! Extremely talented. Great script.
This is awesome and awkward. I love it.
LINDSAY PIERCE AS WHATSHERNAME😍😍😍😍
I saw this at a high school back in June and I'm still obsessed with the show
Grease of punk rock
Having the blonde dude sing We AreThe Waiting was the best decision the casters ever made
I'm both a green day fan and a theatre nerd this is fantastic
Anyone else recognize Lindsay Pearce from the Glee Project?
And BARE: a pop opera!
@@EnergyDot haven't seen that one! thanks for the recommendation!
Ive seen this show live 3 times, including original broadway cast, and this is amaze !
can i have a link of the full broadway american idiot show
cried like five times during this lmao. this is amazing
I was in this musical as the guitarist 😁
everyone is this musical fuckin nailed it! especially the person who played st jimmy. everyone was perfect for their role.
I loved their version of this show and Good Riddance at the end just made me smile. They all looked so genuinely happy and looked like they were having a great time. God I love theatre
