❤📚📚❤️ I loved The Secret Life of A. J. Fikry. I have Tomorrow, and Tomorrow and Tomorrow on my bookshelves and need to pick it up soon. Oooo...added Elsewhere to my list!!
Why did I immediately think of The Five People you Meet in Heaven and A Man Named Ove when you were describing The Storied Life of AJ Fickry? I think I am going to add it and Elsewhere to my TBR!
Looks like I have found another author who I need to read so thank you very much for giving me four books to add to my tbr list prayers and blessings for you and your family love your Aussie family friend John xx
Great topic! I have A.J. Fikry on tap for the near-ish future, so we'll see if it's a hit for me. Tx3 was just meh for me, but I think a small part of that was that it took me too long to read it and that always hinders my enjoyment.
I read Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, and honestly kind of wish I had DNF it. It sounded like something I would enjoy but I just ended up disliking every single character so strongly that I spent the second half of the book thinking "but why am I supposed to care?" 😅 It's made me a little cautious about trying her other work.
I could personally never have her as a favourite author due to her support of zionism. But also hate books where they definitely want you to shed a tear or two!
I read Tx3 because you picked it as your best book a couple years back. It was ok, but I didn’t get the hype about it. The story was too much about making a video game for me. I’ll have to think about reading other books by her. I think the AJ Flikrey book could be compared to Owen Meany, which you DNF and I loved, so maybe we are just not on the same wavelength!😂

I hope you love them both!!
@BekahBooksandBujo Thank you! 🤗
I have read all but Elsewhere. Rated them pretty close to what you did so adding Elsewhere to my tbr.
Hope you enjoy that one too!

I'm sure AJ Fikry will go much faster for you! Keep me updated!

Oh no! I'm sorry it didn't work for you. I would say writing and characters are pretty similar in her others, so maybe she is not the author for you!

I did not know of that belief she had. Very interesting. I love a book that makes me cry, so that's no issue for me!

I think you'd like AJ Fikry though!
