Recently started watching this gents vids and am totally hooked on bonsai. Going to have a go at some acer palmatums I’ve had for 15+ years.
I even spotted a lovely looking hedge plant in a supermarket car park (not sure of specimen) that was clearly very mature looking at its thick trunk...anyway, it was in flower - a lovely pink....I caught myself mapping out a future bonsai...I must say I’m not planning on visiting that car park late one night, armed with spade and black sack...or am I?
What have you done to me...

Like so many of your fans, I learn something from you every time. I am wondering about; if you rotate the group a few degrees clockwise, the "path" opens up and the main tree is visible - but the path leads straight up. Is that why it is the orientation it is? Also, is it worth striking some cuttings to grow some replacement trees to replenish the forest down the years, or will is age gracefully and reduce in number as the years progress?
