    Small changes - proceeds to relocate half the forest. Nice one Bjorn. Love this type of Bonsai.

    This has greatly enhanced the forest. Your design and work on bonsai is a true inspiration. Impressive forest, anyone would be proud to have in their collection.

    Always a pleasure to watch Eisei-en videos, and this one was especially good. Subtle changes but note the enhanced movement to the left with what Bjorn did to the Primary Tree - awesome! Winter silhouette is great and looking forward to seeing it pop with foliage.Cameron is getting pretty dang good with mossing-up too!

    Not going to lie that was pretty cool. I think the trees looked fine and happy and established and personally wouldn’t touched them but I think he did it for content and to teach us more.

    I really enjoy watching bonsai 'done' and not rabbiting on about too much.
    When I watch videos like this I am reminded most westerners who travel to Japan to study bonsai as an apprentice have very little grasp of the language so have to just watch and learn.

    I like the new arrangement of trunks on the right side of the composition. It's a work in progress, and it keeps getting better and better.
    It must be nice not having to write and record commentary every now and then. As an observer, it makes me consider what I see and my perception and understanding of what you see.
    I'll look forward to seeing with leaves in the spring.

    Hi Bjorn, I’ve been following a lot of your stuff both on Eisei-en and Bonsai Empire. How have you created this group? There was one tree you added / edited that looked root-bound, as if it had come from a pot perhaps.
    Thanks for your guidance and that of the community of experienced bonsai artists. The videos are as peaceful as bonsai itself, and a much needed foil to the craziness of covid. Thanks again!

    That was a pleasure to watch and to listen to. What was the music called?
    No doubt this will be one of those videos that will be on forums with a statement saying they "want to see it in six months. I bet it will be ruined".

  • @devotae
    @devotae 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    THE MUSIC IS PERFECT CHOICE!! i cant help but to feel sad for the tree as they made a strong bound to one another, and you are taking them apart, but keeping them close. I almost feel like if you were to completely separate them from each other they would die. but they can still sense each other, feel each other even when they are no longer bound to each other.

    Are these shishigashira?

    • @dougfre2393
      @dougfre2393 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @chriso6884
      @chriso6884 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why is this not bleeding after it gets cut. Surely it’s too late to prune maples. I thought.

  • @plantdesigns7889
    @plantdesigns7889 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Are those 'Shishigashira'? Hard to tell in the video. That's one of my favorite varieties along with 'Mikawa yatsubusa' and 'Bihou'

    • @orpheus1180
      @orpheus1180 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most likely these were seed grown acer palmatums rather than grafted cultivars. Grafts can mess up the trunks. Shishigashira will root fairly well so air layers are a possibility. Bijou is a yellow bark cultivar. Shishigashira and mikawa both make neat architectural trees though.

    • @plantdesigns7889
      @plantdesigns7889 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@orpheus1180 yeah I've worked on several of each. I figured they were seedlings, just that the bark and the short internodes made me think of Shishigashira.
