You know it will be bad when Al Roker and Jim Cantori say they're worried about this storm's impact and that they've never seen a severe storm in all their years of experience.
Love Al Roker, 40 years delivering the forecast, that's a long long time ! Thanks ! 👍👍👍😊
How’s he forgetting Hurricane Katrina?
Lenny Kravitz's Big Cousin is The BEST in My Opinion !!!
Dude sucks.
...he doesn't age!
Put your arms around those in all who are hurting through the hurricane and tornadoes.
❤ from California to ALL who are being impacted by this hurricane.
I’m on Naples,Florida,thanks🙏
Thank you. Everything I own is gone. So I went to TH-cam to find love from a random TH-camclown.
My life is great now.
What is wrong with you people?
Please go straight to Mara Lago
Grow up
Tell that to your he-ro.
But ALL the people would suffer who live there... otherwise.... 😉
No, straight to you. To you!

Gov. Ron DeSantis and state administrators have rejected at least $11 billion in federal funds in the past few years, saying there were strings attached, they “politicized” roads or fought climate change.
By continuing to opt out of federal funding for essential programs for Florida families, like health coverage, disability services, mental health funding, climate resiliency programs, and more, the state not only continually sends billions of our tax dollars to other states, but also prevents improvements in quality of life for thousands of Floridians.”
Southwest Florida: 49 total hurricanes
(including 17 that were a Category 3 through 5)
Sitting directly on the Gulf of Mexico, which has much warmer waters than the Atlantic Ocean, Southwest Florida is tied with its southern counterpart on the Eastern Seaboard as the second most hurricane-prone area in Florida.
The only thing separating the two areas from one another is the fact that Southwest Florida has been hit by 17 major hurricanes, one more than the Southeast. That includes six Category 4 and one Category 5 hurricanes.
stay safe everyone
I trust - and like - Al Roker very much! I also love his excellent cookbook!!!!
Its nice to see Al finally growing back into his head.
Huh??
@@rogerthat4545
Huh??
@Dingleberry777 as usual, you can't explain your own nonsense?
Al explains everything perfectly, so Jansing asks him to really explain it. Brilliant.
This hurricane looks like Katrina did it was a cat 5 then dropped to cat 3 at landfall
Stop playing with this
And those of us who can still obtain homeowners insurance will pay in our increased premiums. The wealthy will get compensated to a degree. The poor will suffer the greatest losses.
But, at what point, does Donald Trump grab his Sharpie, and make the hurricane ten times worse??
Hurricane Charlie?
Hurricane Milton asking anyone if they've seen his stapler... 😂

I hate to appear stupid, but what is that from?

I've never seen such a major decrease in strength without hitting land.
Changes in water temp or shallow waters could slow down cyclones/ hurricanes
@@hag7097 it's actually very warm water there. But thank goodness for it because it's heading my way
@@mikepoole2248 ??? Get out of there! 😮
let me get this straight. All weather services, news media, state and government agencies are warning people to take it very serious and not to downplay this, and the first thing you do... is downplay it??? They said repeatedly the decrease will have no effect on the devastation it will cause. But hey, if you want to watch this from your porch with a drink by your side, be my guest.
Do you realize when Katrina hit land it was a cat 3 but was a cat5 at sea
Can’t imagine living in a home build from 2x4’s with 3/4 in. drywall and waiting for a (up to) 15ft surge - most likely populated with »Hurricane Sharks« (cue ominous music)
Charlie hit there in 2004, and it was a major category 4 with 150 mph winds at landfall. It hit Tampa and went through Orlando and exited in Daytona Beach.
Charlie hit punta Gorda Florida
Not really. It did not hit Tampa. Close but not quite. It made landfall around punta gorda. Around 50 miles away south of Tampa
Ok, close to where this one is heading
I'm just saying I've lived in florida my whole life, and I remember many storms like this or far worse. Jean and Francis on the East Coast were bad, too. Ian and Irma were also bad storms.
I'm in it now. It's raining here and a little thunder so far. Not too much wind yet where I'm at.
She’s such a terrible host and journalist wow! What idiotic questions.
When I was a kid my parents would take us on a weekend road trip across alligator alley through the Everglades. It was a single lane roadway east and west bound. We would get behind some old guy driving way under the speed limit and my dad would get so impatient, then get in that left east bound lane and “gun it” and I’d cover my eyes and pray that he would get back over in time. 😅
I used to hate the ride over bc there was nothing for miles except swamp.
Then, we would reach Naples and Ft Myers. All open beach virtually no buildings
for miles. We’d go out to Sanibel island with our picnic lunch and mom would bring tree limbs and sheets to make cabanas and we would play all day with no one in sight. Huge sea shells and conches. It was an amazing time to be in Florida.
Then we’d go up to Sarasota and there was no true beach. No white sugar sands. It was a mucky muddy swamp with horse shoe crabs everywhere and smelly- like rotten eggs. I hated that beach. But we would still have many adventurous days there.
Great memories. Lots of great childhood memories and more great adult more recent memories. My heart just sinks when I see what has happened in the most recent years with these storms and what they have caused.
We/I have weathered many hurricanes growing up there in the 50’s-70’s and my family continues on the east FL coast to manage there.
My worst childhood memories were of Hurricanes Donna and I think Cleo
As an adult it was driving through tornadoes and the landfall of Michael.
Back then, the worst that we ever imagined was having your windows blown out, having the power off for a few days and no school (yay). Most boys were out in mid calf waters surfing the flood waters with boards that had blown down off windows in the storm.
We didn’t evacuate back then. even if we had warnings of 135-150 mph winds. No one ever freaked out when we saw all the sand washed inland. All the adults acted like it wasn’t anything harder than anything else.
We grew up with grandparents and parents who lived through the poverty and devastation of many bad storms, world wars and severe economic downturns. We learned to falsely assume we could all handle whatever could hit us and that we’d survive.
The irony today is that I’ve somehow managed to outlive all of them. It’s a very tough time to watch the once familiar world washing away or being bombed away to smithereens. Very heartfelt empathy goes out from my heart to everyone in the Helene and Milton aftermath. 💔💕
"Worst case scenario" does not exist. It can ALWAYS be worse.
I am watching Max Velocity on TH-cam, he is doing running reports of new tornado reports constantly. So grateful he is there with these reports!
Even Mother Nature is trying to get rid of Trump!!
It's trying to get rid of Kamala!!
I know them New Yorkers are going to move after this lol
Looks kind of running the mill to me. Water rises. People less than 15 ft above sea get flooded. They throw there damaged stuff out. Replace drywall and carpeting. Rinse and repeat.
If Donald Trump was president and this happened in a blue State Donald Trump would not send Aid!!
Exactly what he tried to do when he was in charge, source: Republicans in his administration. MAGAts please inform yourself, you can google it
Here let me educate you:
1. California Wildfires: In 2018, after devastating wildfires in California, Trump approved a major disaster declaration to provide federal aid for recovery.
2. Hurricane Sandy: Though it occurred before Trump was president, in 2012, Trump expressed support for aid to blue states like New Jersey and New York following Hurricane Sandy. Later, as president, his administration continued to provide federal disaster relief in response to ongoing recovery needs in those regions .
3. COVID-19 Pandemic: During the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump’s administration provided aid to states hit hardest, including blue states like New York and California. For instance, the federal government helped supply medical resources like ventilators and personal protective equipment.
@@sh80611
That's only a part of the story.
Regardless, DeSantis has turned down all federal aid for Milton. He may change his mind in the aftermath? His ego does a disservice to his constituents.
I moved my dad out of Florida after the destruction of his home in Venice, FL due to hurricane IRMA. I was in his house and it frightened me.
This hurricane is going to be devastating, especially after back-to-back hurricanes.
Leave the state, unless the insurance companies have come back? That was what DeSantis tried to run on - right?
It is cheaper to relocate.
@@RootofEcstasy yes, this is TH-cam, so a truncated comment is warranted. But because libs love “fact checking”, the aforementioned comment still provides enough information for the purpose of dispelling these ridiculous narratives that you all are so prone to provide.

For Fiscal Year (FY) 2024, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will provide $640.9 million of available funds to enable non-federal entities to off-set allowable costs incurred for services associated with noncitizen migrant arrivals in their communities.

Reallly really sad that the MAGA forces in congress don’t think it’s important enough to convene to insure the funding doesn’t stop for our fellow citizens who will have to endure for months and years to come.
