I'm very late, but stopping the corruption entirely is nigh impossible. I like to do something crazy. I split my world in half horizontally so that the underground crimson stays near Hell, where it belongs. Makes purifying the surface much easier. Also make the horizontal tunnel pretty tall and remove all corruptible walls. Maybe add a rail for minecarts
Tip: get a homing weapon when go to jungle, rainbow rod for example. It will help you: -Kill off-screen hornets. -Slowdown those turtles and resets their attack. -Kill bats before they get to you. A mushroom spear may also help dealing with man eaters and angry trappers.
2:25 for this, to get past 100 platinum coins, you need a zenith(most recomendably in legendary) and a frackton of pumpkin medals for the pumpkin moon(with this method i got until 359 platinum coins)

i recently started my first master mode playthrough (its summoner, i've tried summoner in multiplayer about 3-4 times but every time the playthrough ends pre-hardmode) happy to say i spent 2 hours making an angler-pirate-golfer house.
Maybe getting one of moonlord's sword is 1/9 until you get one of them since i got the meowmere first try and had difficulty getting starwraith, i needed to kill the moonlord 12 times which is impossible with the 1/9 chance, and i am not the only one who experienced this event
As a ranger main I like using bullets that deal more damage than Chloryphyte and require aim. I prioritize damage over anything else because For The Worthy traumatized me into being good at dodging
Me and my bro installed mods Powers so the guns that creators use we can use them aswell. And the description of some guns are: you shouldn't have this item or smth like that
