- To show some appreciation for my viewers, I hosted several servers and this is one of those events. It's a classic hide and seek where I am hunting my viewers and trying to kill them one hundred times before time runs out! Lets have some fun.

I think an interesting twist would be having very little health but you're an invisible sniper.
Makes it so they can kill you if you're too out in the open, but you're invisible so you can get people without them seeing you
especially with a sniper scope, get them from super far too
then you get these schizo sweats throwing grenades all over the place

you should use scarab bombs as a faster way to mine next time

a nice improvement you could make is that every person that you kill, respawns with their items and then join your team and become hunters too

Well, atleast you were allowed to rejoin back.
Anyways, I hid inside the floor in my first death because there were no pots (early people took it all) and it would be very obvious that you'd have some sort of light source which makes hiding in the cave blindly kinda stupid. Second death was just me joining at the worst time possible.

The problem is you're playing hide & seek in a game where hiding is a viable strategy. If you've ever played a game like Prop Hunt, the hunters get all sorts of advantages. What you wound up with was a server full of bored people in a sandbox builder game. Of course they're going to get into shenanigans!
I watched this while turning my base from an NPC Jail to a small town, I did not see a single second.

I think there's a lot of room for improvement. The first issue is that due to the pacing of the video, it was obvious from the very start that the challenge would fail. I also think a better pick would've done wonders, and banning recall/wormhole potions and magic mirrors would've been a good idea. This was a fun concept, the execution just seemed a little poorly thought out and everything kinda fell apart.
Perhaps. The whole point was more just to have some fun with viewers. How the video performed/optimizing the "story" of it all was an after thought at best. There are definitely ways to improve it and there were some things I didn't bother mentioning since I ain't gonna info dump. It's hard to figure out how to best do these servers since I'm the only one doing it and I was expecting about 20 more people to participate, which would have helped quite a bit.
@@Throarbin That's fair. I guess we learn as we go. It was a fun concept and I'd love to see part 2 with some of the improvements implemented.
next round you should have a sniperscope for better vision
plot twist: anyone watching this video is now a viewer and is being hunted down by you currently
next time you shouldn't have godmode on so your viewers have a chance to fight back, but maybe put on weak armor and increase your hp by a bit so that it won't be too easy
Maybe. Part of it was so I could also not worry about lava or my own explosives. Considering how I didn't get even close to my goal, I needed even more advantages than I gave myself
@@Throarbin maybe also make it so you have an unlimited amount of time, but the viewers' goal is to kill you so it's like a juggernaut thing

Good idea for an event the only problem is the you could just spawn camp them till you reach your goal. I wonder if its possible make spawn locations randomized, also maybe do it on a terraria map or something? idk, just some ideas ❤
A little ways to the left of spawn, you ran past a puddle of water and I immediately knew what my tactic would have been if I’d been a hider. 👀😂

With the odds stacked like that, im fairly surprised you didnt use vortex armor for on demand stealth one shots.

I would have summon the wall of fresh in one corner and then have it go to the other end. Only the ones at the very end would survive because I would have had to defeat that wall of flesh.

@@onlymyself1234 Yeah, it’ll pull you back if you try to run from the fight, but it won’t bring anyone *into* the fight-you can see this in how, if you die, it’ll continue to move across the Underworld but you can choose to head back to the Underworld to try to continue the fight or just let it despawn when it finishes crossing your world.

Currently not planned. I'm thinking of hosting them about twice a year. This one was part of a whole month where there was a new event each week for four weeks. I might do that twice a year, maybe once, depends on the community event ideas I have and my own availability

eh. the issue with "banning everything" and all every way for people to get away is, well, namely, if you take away every way for someone to hide or run, it just ends up just not being good content. could always just let yourself have a magic mirror though. lends itself to the mixups with if someone has a bed or not.
True, there's a number of ways it could have been improved. The initial rules were setup with having about 20 more people on the world and not having that many changed how it had to be approached on the fly resulting in something that was sort of just...fine

I think this could have gotten way cooler. Didnt like the start and skipped when the Dungeon Guardian was fought because the dude might have found it funny but if you actually challenge you and your friends to beat the game with no communication then this was poor...
Also the signs they placed was a form of communication just saying.
And why not focus on acutally beating the game if thats the goal?
