    I make parts at cirrus, I love my job and my coworkers are awesome!! Every rivet, milliliter of clear coat, wire, and any other part is accounted for (documented) checked and rechecked before the test flight. Quality and safety are our number one priority, and I'm very happy that folks know about our products. What I find very exciting about the vision jet is the auto return button, saving the parachute feature for if the plane cannot mechanically land safely. If you can mechanically land safely though,but don't have the ability to do it yourself all u have to do so is smack that red button in your vision jet will take you to the nearest airport and land safely. I have very much pride in the fact that these planes are the only planes that I know of too have these kind of safety features. I'm extremely proud to be a cirrus employee, and I love the good press this video gives us.

      We took ours in for the 100 hr inspection recently. It’s been a great plane so far. The only thing about it is that it’s hard to put in the oil, and if you do one thing wrong in the process of putting it in, it’ll leak out onto your decals and ruin them. It’s happened to many other vision jet owners I know. Other than that, it has been great. We just picked it up from its 100 hr inspection yesterday.

    I got my vision jet in October. These numbers are great. The cph is correct and it is a great video. I have a friend with an m600, and that plane has had bad ground handling history and his has way too many issues. It’s like it was made in China. The TBM 900 has pretty bad low speed handling, especially on approaches it seems pretty unstable. They didn’t make any airframe improvements on any newer models either. Both the m600 and the TBM have extremely small cabins too. You can stretch your legs out and hardly tough the seat in front of you in the SF50 (I’m 5’10) so it’s a great cabin. My 6’4 brother’s head touches the ceiling in the TBM, even with the seats fully reclined. It’s probably worse in the m600 too. The vision jet has a perfect cabin and is the most stable. It beats the TBM in cost per hour by $200 as well. The vision jet is the best plane out of the three.

      I think that description is a little inaccurate because a Honda Civic doesn't cost as much as a Lamborghini. The vision jet is by no means any more practical than single turbo props, but when you have a budget of nearly $3 million who says you need to be practical? Some people just want something that's new and unique, the series has a lot of style, always has, and I see nothing wrong with being a bit wasteful if you get something you like out of it

    Curious about the hanger cost you show? The dimensions are small enough to just squeeze into some T-hangers. I personally pay a little over 2K a year to keep my Sundowner in one, so I recon that 20K is on the upper end of things.

    • @CompleteWalkaround
      @CompleteWalkaround  2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      You're right. Squeezed and Some. Nobody is going to put pool noodles on the wings of their 3 million dollar airplane to squeeze it anywhere. Also, its too long for a lot of t hangars even if the wings will fit, so long as nobody hung their coat on the wall. Moreover, early SF50s require GPUs to start in cold temperatures. You won't fit one of those in a t hangar with one of these.
      The summary is a T-Hangar just isn't realistic. 3 million dollar airplanes live in nicer hangars.

    • @iflycentral
      @iflycentral 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CompleteWalkaround Fair enough. Although, I've seen stranger things. Even if not a T-hanger, I'd imagine there are quite a number of other options out there below the 20K mark for such a small jet? Was just curious. Thanks.

    • @redneckfisherxxx
      @redneckfisherxxx ปีที่แล้ว

      10% or less is probably the safe-ish answer. Income is going to be the more important number. The purchase price isn't that bad operating costs and repairs will get you if you don't have enough money. For $10 million you could easily get an SF50, a nice house, nice boat and a few nice cars but if you have an income of $100k you wouldn't be able to afford to fly the plane.

      No. The FJ33 engine was designed specifically to power aircraft; it's a small turbofan, not an APU. It's sort of a miniature FJ44, and there were a few potential users when it was first proposed, then developed and certified, but Cirrus is the only one that came through. Very similar in spec to the GE-Honda Aero Engines HF120 (I worked on that program!)

      The Epic 1000 started as the Epic LT. Epic sold it as a kit plane. Epic went through a bankruptcy and new owners and through the journey they decided to attempt to certify the plane and called the certification candidate the Epic 1000. That's a tough process and after 7 years or so finally made a couple of delivered airplanes. Hopefully they manage to stick the landing
