Used American Software to make the chip architecture called EDA.(There is no other software) and next is they use ARM cores from the British ARM company and license them, maybe modify them could be but yes. My Mate20X bought in 2019 is still quite smooth with updated Harmony OS 3.0, Now i use both Mate 60 pro and Mate20 x, perhaps no need to buy new moble phone in coming 3-5years

It’s sad that huawei is banned from using the 3nm technology from TSMC, and the key component of 3nm, EUV, is also banned. So the kirin 9000s might be developed under 7nm. The performance is not the best

The screen curvature is perfect! All phones should be like this, remembers me of the old Nokia N9 and original Lumias. The GLASS is curved, not the screen. Finally!
HTC also tried that on their 2012 smartphones such as HTC One X and 8X.
Edit: I think it was called infinity screen at that time by HTC.
Apple also used this and called it 2.5D screen starting from iPhone 6.

I am not quite sure about the durability though.
At some countries, Huawei also offered “upgrade” the screen to kunlun glass starting from Mate 30, P40, Mate 40 and so in.
Edit : HTC One X’s screen is quite durable too btw. Pretty durable to scratches and fall.

I've visited China four times and saw different regions. Every time I've visited... I've seen big improvements. I would even be bold enough to say that the major cities in China are now overall cleaner looking than the major cities in the US.Huawei's headquarters is in Shenzhen. I have also been to Huaqiang North Road, where there are many technology companies and large shopping malls.I've visited public parks in SHENZHEN and was amazed at how clean they look. No litter or graffiti anywhere... even the skateboard rink looks clean. And there are lots of people out there enjoying the parks... but seem to have respect for the facilities there.The greening of the city is very good, and there are many electric cars on the street, which proves that the Chinese government attaches great importance to environmental protection.What impresses me the most is that life is very convenient, a cashless society, the subway system is very new and clean, and the people are very friendly.Other than some culture shock, I feel China is very safe. You can also go out late at night. In the US, I dare not go out at night, for fear that black people will shoot me.

Modem technology is very important, Huawei has done the impossible with its 5G modem. Even Apple failed on their self developed 5G modem and needed to rely on Qualcomm for that.

Finally, I can get Huawei as my daily driver again after years they got banned. I was impressed with Huawei with their balanced performance and efficiency. Even in my country, 5G isn't yet spread widely, but I love using Huawei. The last Huawei phone I ever tried was the P40 Pro Plus. I'm very impressed with the camera and also the efficiency of the battery used. I hope they soon release that phone in my country.

Look at what Huawei developed during the past 4 years of sanction: Harmony OS (for smartphone and IoT), Guass DB (proprietary full stack software and hardware), EDA (14nm 100% certified, advanced process under testing), Meta ERP (to replace SAP), Kirin 5G SOC, Lithography related technology, 5.5G technology, Kun Peng AI Processor, Pangu AI Models 3.0, Euler OS (for servers). Now you know what a tech giant Huawei is.
Still runing my Mate 10 Pro from 2018. Great phone and the battery is still going strong. Camera still holds up.

So a poll and guess how many people appreciate it comes preinstalled vs how many considers it bloatware. For some people, even the SMS or calculator app is bloatware. Usually only people in tech wants plain vanilla phones.

Great job on getting it so quickly, going by your viewer count there is great interest in this phone outside China. Thank you! The zoom camera appears to be using a smaller sensor than the P60 Pro according to a tear down video, despite both being 48MP 3.5X. The aperture is also not as good and takes a step back to what they had on the P/Mate 50 Pro. It's not supposed to be an improvement in the camera department over the P-series, so I'm not fussed about it. I'm really excited for the return of the Kirin SOC and the introduction of their domestic chip production. I think we will see rapid development from now on. It's a major achievement to produce a phone with their own CPU/GPU design and domestic 7nm process on the level of their previous Mate 40 Pro with Kirin 9000 on 5nm+ which used ARM cores and Mali GPU.

I don't think the signal strength would be that good this time around. Mate 30 pro and mate 40 pro were the peak, mate 50 pro not so much, even a downgrade in term of signal strength, mate 60 pro maybe just a small improvement over mate 50 pro as they've got a new design.

I have to say this hardware especially with so many small subtle touches, is just beautiful. Really love the treatment of that display design. I hate curved displays but it looks like Huawei is giving users like me the best part of a flat display but sort of like 2.5D glass edges with a slight curve all the way around so it don't dig into your hand when holding it for a long period of time. Really thoughtful design.
It may turn out not much different from smartphones of other brands, but the point is, it has completely avoided using sanctioned parts that are imposed by the West. 😀

For a smart phone, I do not expect the P60 pro to be comparable to a dedicated zoom camera, but it does appear to be very capable under a lot of shooting conditions...It certainly can do much better than a lot of smart phones on the market....

I am very happy for Huawei that they were able to make their own processors, despite the sanctions. I'm waiting for the start of sales of mate x5 and tablets on Kirin.even taking into account the old type of memory (ufs 3.1, not ufs4), optimization with Huawei's own processors is always much better both in the operating system and in terms of cameras
The main selling point for Chinese buyers is the Satellite calling feature. No other phone has it! If you are living in a big country like China, it is a huge plus!

I've had both the Mate60 and the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max for the past 4 days. Mate60's camera is superior in every aspect. It's night photography is unmatched, so is the OS and the overall feel and operation. I'm in love. Will have to return the iPhone

Larger aperture and bigger sensor. Better for portraits and zoom is also good enough up to 10x
It is just a smart phone...not a dedicated camera. People normally use it for occasional/social event shooting. For photography, go for the cameras...better/larger sensors, low light capability, more functions, etc...
