Today in this assetto corsa drifting tutorial we are going to found out what is the difference between powersliding and drifting? I've seen a lot of people who are confused about whatever it is powersliding or drifting?
Powersliding is when the car is sliding after the apex ( Middle of the corner )
Drifting is when the car is already sideways before the corner. It is very simple when you understand it. Drifting takes much more effort and it is definetely harder than powersliding. Thanks For Watching !

Powersliding looks a lot more clean sometimes but i feel drifting is more skillfull
Yeah it is... And powersliding is perfect for powerful cars. :) ( Like ferrari or porsche)
Imo Powersliding is more useful while Drifting shows more handling skills.
A powerslide is a type of drift. Because they are both doing the same thing which is intentionally oversteering
@@mrjed6912 It's not drifting, go watch Pluspy or one of the really early D1 Grand Prix drift competitions to see what actual drifting looks like.
In fact, powersliding is used to describe something that is unintentional. If you're "intentionally powersliding" outside of demonstration purposes, then you can't drive.
I thought that this video was irl😂😂
Yeah sometimes it happens for me too....
I did until I saw this comment 😳
I did until I saw the inside of the car. What game is it?
Edit: I found the answer in another comment, it is Assetto Corsa.
now I like just takumi
Very straight forward and well demonstrated explanation. Thank you! 🚗💨
Very useful!
I wasn't exactly sure how it worked, thanks
I guess I really wasn’t drifting them shopping carts in the grocery store
Drifting shopping carts is so fun though
DrivingObsession yeah I loved drifting those things when I was younger
😂
For me poweslide or drift, if you're having fun that all what matters
100% true
The beat is dope!! And great video!
Thanks
Very usefull, thanks
Another drifting tutorial !
My drifting is good but I don’t steer my wheel all the way like that it’s usually less than 180 degrees on most corners
This taught me about irl
I always thought powersliding was when all wheels slide, and drifting only the rear wheels
I guess when all wheels slide it is just sliding :D Honestly I try not to think about it too much :) Whenever the car slides, it’s drifting for me :)
@@drivingobsession7900 me too bro me too exactly you're speaking facts
Yeah honestly. Who ever just says “UhM actcshually it’s ppwersliding” like bro stfu we get it
Good video
Thanks !
Which one in this track is faster?
Powersliding in most cases should be faster
I wanna see u powerslide vvw bettle
Hey DrivingObsession, since i noticed you're using a Thrustmaster wheel, can you help me with the settings please?
Sure man :) Here are my settings :
Here are the settings :
In thrustmaster panel :
overal strenth 100
constant 100
periodic 100
spring 0
damper 5
by the game
Ingame assetto corsa settings :
gain 60
filter 0
minimum force 0
kerb 42
road 30
slip 15
gamma 1.00
filter 0.00
speed sensitivity 0.00
brake gamma 1.00
enhanced understeer effect , half FFb update rate , combine with keybord input : Unticked
Ty for the fast responce, i will try this !:)
The 1M FFB 100%? Street tires or Sticky?
Well not necessary 100 FFB... Just try it and see if it is too strong then lower it. Will be easier with street tyres but I usually drift on sticky. But The car would slide more on street tyres, so I guess it's better :)
At the end of the day both skid and eat away your rear tires, sliding
That’s right
lmao i thought i could drift but i powerslide xd
Personally whenever the car slides I see it as drifting but technically it’s not
@@drivingobsession7900 yes it is. A powerslide is literally a type of drift
which video game is it?
Assetto corsa
I dont really get it, what if there isn't a Apex like in a parking lot
Well you could say this... If you just turn the wheel, hit gas and the car starts sliding, thats powerslide because you started the slide with just “power” :) Drifting would be when you use handbrake, clutch kick or weight transfer.... This might be a weird way too look at it but maybe its more clear now.
@@drivingobsession7900 not sure about, power-over is still a legit way to start a drift. Some even say it is more of a drifting technique than using an ebrake.
@@drivingobsession7900 so bassically ,power sliding require no stop or slow down?
can any car powerslide and drift?
Well RWD cars are the best for it. you can't really powerslide with FWD cars but you kinda can drift with them
what is the name of this track
I don’t remember, sorry
Do I need to use the handbrake if I drift?
You can if you want to but there are plenty of other ways to start the drift. Such as weight transfering, clutch kick, shift lock and so on....
Can I do it with a thrustmaster t80 Ferrari edition? It doesn't a 360 degree turn.No clutch too
Well, what can I say... Of course you can drift with this wheel, you can even drift with just a controller :) But in my opinion since it has only 360 it will be less realistic. But you can drift with it :)
DrivingObsession Thanks for the replies man! Keep up with these videos!
DrivingObsession oh and btw it's NOT a 360 wheel, it's a 240 degree wheel I think.
that wasnt a powerslide bro
Backwords entring))))))
what track is this
Had to reinstall assetto corsa a while ago, so can't really say :( Don't have it anymore
DrivingObsession nuuu thanks for reply anyway ebisu minami would be enough
