It makes me happier & happier to see the younger generation thrifting, recycle, & repurposing items that would have gone to the smash & dumps! This is not only money wise decorating one’s house when finding great deals but saving the environment! Then once done sell it off or gift it !

I just came across your video for the first time. I love it. I'm a 90s kid as well and my oldest just graduated high school. Time has definitely flown by. Your music was also giving me Mr Rogers Neighborhood vibes lol.

Susan Branch is one of my favorite authors too and I met her at a book signing here in Ohio. I actually wept and her husband Joe said she has that effect on him too, ha ha. Love your channel and can't believe you are old enough to become an empty nester! I am a thrifter and now a reseller in an antique mall when I am not at my full time job as a librarian.

You found some really yummy cozy items! I completely agree with your love for all things Autumn!! The wretched heat of Summer can really make me cranky and sluggish! Autumn makes me feel as though all my senses were being delighted all at once! (I loved when you said, "My heart is a leaf!") I'm both energized AND feel cozily content to snuggle down and tuck in at home :) If you've not heard of this before, look up articles about the concept of "Hygge." It's a word that encompasses a sense of coziness, warmth, welcome, and fellowship. Its an atmosphere sprinkled with candles, good food, very soft textiles, simplicity, and preferably a wood-burning fireplace! You can be "hygge" all year round, though. Also, I adore, adore, aDORE Susan Branch!! Her charming illustrations can't be beat; she hand-writes all the words in her books, too. I recommend three books of hers in particular in which she told her life's story: Part One is a book entitled, "The Fairy Tale Girl." The second book is "Martha's Vinyard, Isle of Dreams." And the third is, "A Fine Romance; Falling in Love with the English Countryside." You will NOT want to put these books down, I can promise you! Thanks so much for sharing your thrift finds! I'm glad to have found your channel!
