I love it. 2nd hand is always best. You are lowering your carbon footprint in doing so and helping reduce waste. Slow fashion for life.

My daughters mostly shop at thrift stores. When they are tired of what they bought they will swap clothing with each other or just give it to me so I can go through it. Whatever I don’t take will go to another friend or will be dropped off at the thrift store. Reduce, reuse and recycle 😂

    I love second-hand shopping.
I have found high-quality, refined brands for way less than the original price.
I usually do not purchase very often.
The more you understand how to mix and match and be willing to reuse the items at different dinners, meetings, events...
The less you want to purchase.
    Enjoy your purchase!

How is that impulsive? You’ve been looking for those boots for like a decade. That’s like the least impulsive! I’m so glad you bought the boots. Merry Christmas to you!
I get almost everything second hand. Especially baby stuff. I live in the north east and just got a rain suit for my baby for $20. I got it big so hopefully we can get a year of use out of it.

I love everything and anything second hand. Furniture is mostly second hand, either from family or antique stores. I also will check out the thrifts for cookware items, especially glassware and pans.
As for clothing, Poshmark is good, as is ThredUp. I really like the way you can narrow down what you’re looking for with ThredUp. I find it leads to less impulse shopping because I’m sticking. to a list.

I have found some wonderful things at consignment shops. I have a Chicos denim jacket, NWT, listed for $100. I was able to buy it for $20 ! My tan leather Coach purse is vintage. Thred Up is another good online site. Good quality never goes out of style !

Love thrifting! For clothing, the key is the ability to recognize really high-quality fabric. On the more-luck-than-skill side, I have found 4 vintage black leather Coach bags at thrift stores over the years. My favorite is a Willis Station bag. Beautiful.

I love all this. Yes, vintage can work. I have a good 1990's black leather bag I have had from my youth. I have polished it & I am loving using it. Vintage & the quality is there. I also have leather black shoe, bought these 2nd hand. Vintage but the quality is unquestionable & they polish to a reflection. I just can't help but wear these. They may not be modern but I just love them. Plus they are a great fit. Win, win. ❤❤

I dislike shopping so much that when I need something, I typically go where my best odds of finding it is. I tried thrifting a dress and nice pants and after trying on 30 things, I left with one top. It took me over 2 hours to do that. I want to be more aware and thrift but I really struggle finding things that work for my style and my body.

I used to really enjoy second hand and almost exclusively shopped secondhand. However, where I live secondhand shopping has really changed in the last se real years. 1) the more affordable’ thrift stores have old fast fashion and there really are no more great finds left. And if there is a treasure amidst all the junk, it is now quite literally a needle in a haystack and the time to search for it is no longer worth it. 2) online thrifting doesn’t work due to the currency exchange, taxes, duties and shipping costs and not worth the cost of returns…it’s way too expensive from where I live. 3) if the more curated thrift stores in my area that have better items that are better quality, they are so expensive it is ridiculous and I could just put that money towards buying new, quality, and sustainable items. 4) the majority of items have been washed with conventional very scented laundry detergents and dryer sheets and those toxic chemicals and the smells do not come out..not trying to be negative. I’m just so sad how things have changed and it really doesn’t work for me to thrift anymore. I’m glad you were able to find such a great item.
