I feel like I am going through the end of a hugely meaningful chapter of my life. It is scary, confusing....I feel compelled to just start letting everything go, yet I hold myself back. I realize that love, and the love I feel for the closest people in my life, is the most precious and important thing...all I want is that, and to have peace of heart and peace of mind in order to rest in that feeling of true gratitude. It is better to wake up in the morning with peace of heart than to have anything else in the world. Thank you again Connie, these videos just bring people so much peace, you deserve millions of subs for how awesome you are!!
You remind of my mom, Connie. She died over 20 years ago. It gives me some kind of closeness to her when I hear and see you. Hope that doesn’t sound weird.
Just hearing your voice calms me down. Thank you. I do wish my husband was on board with minimalism. Lately I commented that we “just have too much stuff.” His comment back was “there can never be too much.” Yikes!!! I’ve been getting rid of things for 5 years now (not HIS stuff) and I feel so much happiness as I release possessions. Weird time of year for it, but I’m on a no buy right now.
My husband and son are completely opposite of me as well. I would declutter 90% of what’s in our home but of course I can’t. Right now all I can do is declutter what’s mine and possibly some decor and kitchen items. It’s very frustrating.😖
Just retired this summer. Cleaned everything out and started the one in one out rule. It’s a great one! Just realized I don’t need “stuff”. Worked in long term care my whole career. In the end I realized most people are reduced to 3 dresser drawers and a bed. Plus it’s easier to clean with not a lot of “stuff”! Working on experiences now in my life! I no longer feel guilty for being a “hard” Mom. I can’t live in the past. I did the best I could.
So true that minimalism doesn't only apply to your material stuff. In the past, I was often under pressure to meet my friend's expectations for phone calls and meetings. Now I have decided to be more relaxed, choose my time wisely and say no to demanding relationships. Also, the best times I have alone out in nature, and I simply take that time just for me:)
onnie, I just wanted to thank you for your videos. They are not only inspirational but also act as an instructional guide toward simplifying your life. I’ve recently retired from 35 years in education my husband and I are spending the winter in the Filipino province of Banaybanay. Life here is simple. Slow and intentional living is a necessity. You must let go of the extraneous. It’s wonderful! It’s much easier to focus on what’s truly important in life. I appreciate your gentle, encouraging words!
Connie I appreciate your gentle reminders of the beauty of simplicity... I have also adopted the " good enough is good enough" attitude, it is so freeing and allows me to enjoy life more.
Another amazing video. It is hard to think about who may be causing issues for your health and for your life. I am a very forgiving person who gives many chances. Love the simplicity of your kitchen. Keep up the great videos and messages.
Connie I enjoy your videos so much, I love the way you dress and you have a way a out yourself that calms me. Bless your heart ❤ a beautiful soul and a wonderful heart. 😊❤
to your points...I read 2 books by Richard Swensen, M.D... Margin and Overload Syndrome. He wrote hem in the early 1990's but th truths are appropriate today. I lovve your gentle voice and the profound truths. Thank you
I just remodeled and downsized and had thousands of photos. I took 6 months to load 4500 photos into a digital Aura frame. It has unlimited space. I even took pictures of my grown kids artwork through the years and put that on the frame as well. It felt so good.
Love your videos! Inspires me more to try to simplify my life. How do you guys travel without jobs? Do you both do online work for income? This is my desire but can't see how it's possible without a job?😢
It’s a tool of intent. Like life itself. All external noise and distractions or scenery of life can continue to keep you addicted to what you see outside or it can remind you to go within and find the treasure of peace you are looking outside. Like fire can burn or cook. It’s what you do with it. Without her guidance we wont notice unless one is already awakened.
Sometimes I like to have a reminder of the simple life and listening to Connie while doing chores does that. I have so much more free time since simplifying.
Simplicity is not always a better option. Eg. is old fashion landline phone better than a smart one? Simple monotonous live is hardly better than life with new experiences and impressions.
I find that it is in the tiny actions that I simplify my life the most.

Meal planning and capsule wardrobe with good quality items saves me money
A simplified wardrobe is the best!
your calm and innocent voice gives me so much peace ,this is the best channel i found thank you so much ....
Just a hint, your beautiful cut flowers will last longer if you strip the leaves off the stems for the part that stands in the water. :)
Peace and wealth can be found in a simple life

What do you do about pictures/ photos and keepsakes? That’s the hardest for me to get rid of.
I just remodeled and downsized and had thousands of photos. I took 6 months to load 4500 photos into a digital Aura frame. It has unlimited space. I even took pictures of my grown kids artwork through the years and put that on the frame as well. It felt so good.
I only keep those that bring me joy, the most beautiful and nice ones.

Funny how they always encourage screen downtime, yet here we are watching this and lots of other stuff on TH-cam. It’s all such a Distraction .🤭
Addiction😂😊
A tip: don’t watch the video, just listen to it while doing sth else 😉

You are not “ordinary”.
You're very kind❤

Thank you for sharing your perspective. ❤
I think everybo dy is different. For me, it's important to have both, new experiences but also routine and simplicity, a balance so to speak:)
Thank you! Are you on Instagram?
