    Great vidoe! Rinseless wash helps to maintain my black car most of the time. It saves time and water! Thanks guys for sharing on the rinseless wash method.

    I own a black Cadillac CTS and live on a gravel road. It’s a long term commitment. Love how it looks when it’s clean! Because of your methods cleaning is so much easier. Thanks!

    Question: Can I use a decontamination towel on a ceramic coated car?

    Thanks for putting out these videos. Why do most iron removers, including yours, say to leave them dwell for a few minutes before either rinsing or agitating? My thoughts would be to let it dwell, rinse it (and any suspended particles) off or lightly foam it so off so it leaves some lubrication, then use the perforated synthetic decontamination towel. I'm assuming there would be suspended particles and that may not be true. Maybe I'm over thinking it. I know you are also polishing this vehicle as well, would the process change if you weren't?

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      Overthinking is part of the life of a detailer. The procedure remains the same with or without polishing

    Could we do rinseless & Decontaminate for ceramic coating prep wash? If so, do you have a video for that?

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The basic answer is yes, it’s a little more work to flush the paint with a rinseless wash filled sprayer but that’s how you do it. Basic principle demonstrated in this video: th-cam.com/video/Hvy7fua5Jyo/w-d-xo.html

    Question, my car is covered with some Quick Beads goodness. Will using All Clean remove the QB or should I go more aggressive? Plans are to polish the car this weekend. Thank you.

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you can use All Clean as one step of the process before polishing. It will help, but won't remove Quick Beads...at least it's not likely. it depends on a few factors, including dilution ratio. the polish step will take care of quick beads

    My car paint feels very smooth after a wash, but there's a lot of water spotting that looks embedded in the clear coat. Is the chemical water spot remover necessary before a polish? or should I just polish them all out?

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you want to wash, decontaminate, then spray on water spot remover, let it dwell, agitate lightly with a Rinseless Wash dampened towel...then rinse off. You've then washed away the mineral deposits, and all that's left is the etching for you to polish away. Otherwise you just drive those mineral deposits into the clear coat and they re-appear under the hot sun at a later date

    All clean - you said it will take waxes or sealants.
    But other videos you state to use it to remove bugs and road contamination…. But now it will remove some sealants
    Should I not use allclean when doing my weekly wash, even if bugs are on there?
    Or just use all clean and then have to add a sealant on when drying?
    Just clarification

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      All Clean at 15:1 is a great tool to remove traffic film and road grime, and you honestly don't probably NEED it for a weekly wash. But it, alone, isn't going to strip a coating -- no way. And while it might impact the performance of a last step product, it wouldn't -- in one fell swoop -- remove Ceramic Gloss or Quick Beads, if that's what you're referring to. So go ahead an use it if you'd like, at that dilution. Or not:) Your choice!

    After I rinse a car with my pressure washer, I spray rinseless wash over the water to hopefully minimize any issues with mineral deposits. If that dries on the surface and is washed with rinseless wash within 15 minutes and dried with ceramic gloss, are the water spots I see on the surface from me or were they there before? All done under a covered area. Thanks!

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      can't be sure without being there for the whole process, always best to work in small sections to control variables

    Awesome Jeep but the price is over rated. The important answer is naturally aspirated and RWD is the sweet spot! Electrics accelerate hard and supercharged has a huge top end.

    Nick I think that car is overrated. Drinks too much gas, makes too much noise, and doesn’t exactly draw the best owners / crowd.
    I think EVs are superior because they have a much stronger structure as a base vs traditional gas cars which have a paper thin floor.

    I’m planning on buying your clay towel, just a question, why didn’t you make the polymer part red or any colour but black, such as the ultra clay towel? That way you can see the contamination over time so it makes it easier to know when to replace?
