Celebrate 125 years of Totowa with Helen Cherba, wife of Mayor Samuel Cherba

Join the Borough of Totowa Public Library in celebrating 125 years of Totowa by learning about a legendary couple in our town's history. Helen Cherba, who turns 105 years old next month, tells us all about her life and her experiences as a longtime Totowa resident, community volunteer, mother, and the wife of Mayor Samuel Cherba, who served as Mayor in Totowa from 1960 to 1991.
With a special introduction from Mayor John Coiro, Totowa's current mayor, who served with Mayor Cherba on the town council, this interview with Helen allows us to take a look at our community today and see the lasting impact of her husband's legacy as one of Totowa's most influential figures and inspiring leaders.
