Totowa Library Community Spotlight: Lisamarie Suriano and la serra gardens

Welcome to the Totowa Library Community Spotlight, where we will introduce to you the teachers, artists, experts, and philanthropists who enrich our community!
Today's Spotlight features Lisamarie Suriano, a local business owner here in Totowa who owns la serra gardens--a garden center, coffee bar, retail shop, and a place where members of the community gather to share art, music, comedy, and other special events. Earlier this year, Lisamarie and her team at la serra have come to share their talents with the Totowa Library through donations of plants as well as improving the landscaped areas outside the building. This past fall, they have also opened up la serra as a venue for the Totowa Library's "tbr" book club! Lisamarie believes in members of the community reaching out to help each other whenever possible. Watch the video to learn about how la serra gardens came to be and all the ways in which this unique place has become a center for art, healing, and connection in our community.
