I just found this as I was looking for how to pour a good sphere, that was a bit disappointing and I understand that as I’m not having much luck either, maybe the resin needs to be poured as one through that tiny hole. I must look at your videos and see if you succeeded. 💕
Hi there! It’s BEAUTIFUL! And you are delightful! Each time you do this it will get better and better, really truly! I hope your vacation with your kids was wonderful! xo🐾💕
I'm also using the same mould and I've made some only anything is that you don't get around ball you actually get that little bump at the end which is quite annoying so what I think you're supposed to do is leave a little bit to create a flat surface so when you actually placed it up the right way that it can actually sit by itself I think that's how it goes and also maybe the butterfly was up the wrong way so you had to turn it down the other way so when you turn the crystal ball up the right way to sit you would see the butterfly the right way up really enjoy tubes
Yeah, I agree totally. I've definitely learned a lot through these fails, but also through all of my wonderful viewers who are kind enough to share their insights, like you did! I will never tire of learning new things. Hehe. Thanks so much for watching, and great advice! 💙
I can't understand how you do it and the resin pours through the hole without any obstacles. When I try the same, This hole keeps leaking air and bubbles. Plus I can't finish the ball becouse of the bubbles they remain at the inlet .
@@JustCallMeMeghan after sanding it are you getting a sphere with no seam? After sanding it I can't get it back to clear, it's just an uglier sanded band then the original seam
@@livelovelearn1986 Tbh I haven't ever tried it, because I don't have an electric sander, and I'm not sure my hand could handle doing it all. However, check out this video. They have great advice for sanding and polishing resin. Don't forget your PPE when sanding. Don't wanna get resin in your eyes/lungs. ☺️ th-cam.com/video/_tuemGDP45o/w-d-xo.html

The sphere looks cool, and I bet your next one will be even better. I'm fascinated by the micro bubbles and what causes them.
Thanks Tom!

Hell hath no fury like a resin micro bubble. Looks really cool though. Wings look awesome too!
😂 Truuuuue. Thanks Shaun!
Use binder clips around the edge to prevent leaks
What a great idea! I'll give it a try! Thanks!
Use hot glue to go around the seam of the sphere and a circle of it around the top hole to prevent overflow.
Oohh, good idea! I'll have to give that a try!

hot glue around the seam is what works for me
I had the same problem with spil over I think it's the actual make of the mould where the fault lies.☺🐝
I agree. I'm hoping to find some better molds to make the globes with.
I can't figure out how to get rid of the crease gaaahhhhh!!! Have you found a good way?
I sure haven't. 😭 I think we are just stuck to sanding it down. 😞

how long do you have to wait between each pour?
It depends on the resin, but I'd say at least 8-12 hours to be safe. Hope that helps!
