When is a big resin company going to wake up and partner with you!? Can you imagine a "Artsy Madwoman Resin Snowglobe Kit" with custom molds? I'd be all over that!
Agreed!!! At the least, given the number of products she uses and links of theirs she puts in her descriptions, Counter Culture needs to sponsor her… or at minimum give her an affiliate link/coupon code to get a little moolah back from her referrals! I’ve seen Total Boat gift/compensate creators (specifically Evan and Katelyn) their products, I believe, based off the tiny disclaimer at the bottom of a video when it’s resin time… but not sure if TB paid for the product placement, if there’s a affiliate link, free resin or whatever… I know I lean towards using certain brands because I’m used to their product and what to expect from certain applications… which is why I assume she uses Counter Culture… so, if a sponsor came in to give an opportunity to use a different product, I would find it fascinating for her opinion comparing and contrasting between the two (or more) brands with the same “control” (example: a 3-color coaster - 1 part clear, 1 part using 1/2tsp of glitter, 5 drops of liquid resin pigment & the last part using 1tsp of mica powder). Shoot! I went on a long-winded tangent. LOL!
@@mookzmom You are correct. In the description she states that she’s a brand ambassador for them, and the discount code is still active. I’m not sure how CCDIY works their ambassador program, but most companies give some sort of compensation for referrals.
This is just a hint on how to get rid of your bubbles in your molds if you get a vibrating plate or pretty much anything that vibrates and put it on the table that your mold is on it will actually cause any bubbles that are in your mold to rise to the surface thus eliminating bubbles in your resin. I work in dentistry and when we pour our molds for dentures or braces or whitening trays we use a vibrating plate to get all the bubbles out of our casts.
You could make a Halloween one with bats floating (flying) in it! This really is a cool project. I love your love of glitter and metallic colors. There must be bling!
My initial thought was that the light bulb mold was too small and you'd have just a small cavity in there for the floating material, BUT, as it turned out, it magnified and turned out absolutely fantastic! I love it! The 50/50 ratio worked well also. A complete success!
I love the way the holographic base reflects through the whole globe! So pretty! Julie from Pouring your heart out has recently been spraying her molds and druzy’s with 100% isopropyl alcohol right before she pours, it’s worked to get rid of the bubbles sticking to the mold and the even druzy’s. Of course you have to pour before it evaporates and it can’t be torched after but, I’m going to try it next time I pour. Beautiful results! Great job figuring out how to make that work!

YOU DID AN AMAZING JOB! The ONLY thing I think I would have loved more is if you had used resin to glue the big star to the piece of plastic you covered the hole with. But seriously, that turned out SO INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL! And my FAVORITE part, the part that tells me we would likely be great friends, is when you quoted Yzma! OMG! This turned out so good!! I too am obsessed with those multichrome/iridescent flakies. I'm working in buying them in every single available color, they're amazing! Steve Mcdonald Arts & Crafts made a resin snowglobe using a dome mold, which also turned out really nice, but it was smaller and wasn't a sphere so I think I like this one a little more. So cool!
We need a series where you make different snow globes but you put different stuff and glitter in it and with different flakes and pigments because I’m OBSESSED lol
This is beautiful!!!!!🎉🎉 Stars and moons are my favorite. Also, the color on the base and little pieces. The only thing is that my personal opinion is more glitter and maybe one more star. Other tan that it's beautiful!!🎉❤❤❤❤

I'm at the part where you have brilliantly decide to use the bulb mold for the space in the middle. LOVE IT!! I'm thinking if you put sand inside the inner bulb to give it weight and keep the full shape, might help. Then you can pour out the sand then remove the bulb mould after resin dries. I absolutely am loving this!! I too have pondered the making of a sphere with resin. I want to make my own Magic 8 Ball with funny custom answers like, " IN YOUR DREAMS" or "AS IF" or "F YES!" LOL

OMG! I was looking for a way to make snow globe for my sister's 50th winter wonderland anniversary wedding. If you do a winter theme, I can't wait to see it. I'm going to be making it so this'll be my first time using the items and it's great to know what does what!
I cant believe I'm just now seeing this! It's so beautiful! Only thing I'd personally add for myself is more floating big (maybe medium) stars and make a staggered tower of 3 or 4 stars you could maybe attach the tower to the plastic sheet. I tried to make resin stuff but it's just to expensive and I'd definitely have to give up a few other of my many crafts lol 😆
So i love this. You did a great job. I saw a tip somewhere on yt that if you spray aerosol alcohol in your mold before you pour your resin it dissipates the bubbles.
This idea is superb!! I love it! Question (bc I’m dealing with the same issue): how do you “fill” (post cure) the crevasses the bubbles left behind on the edges? Long process explaining below: I heat gun the resin before and early into the gel phase in the mold, and take tooth picks to pop the ones I see and to “edge” the mold to do the ones I can’t see in the small crevasses… but when I de-mold there seems to be a few stray buggers that leave divots. Most aren’t noticeable unless you’re picky/OCD like me… until you drag your finger across the surface and snags on those areas. I learned a lesson the hard way to not use a butane torch on most of my silicone molds, since I seem to melt the silicone in the process making de-molding practically impossible if I want to salvage the mold. Any advice would be SO appreciated!! And thanks for doing what you do! It’s fun to watch you create!
