I guess most people don't understand semi tires are regroovable rated in most cases because of how thick the rubber is. if its to bad they retread them, it happens all the time in the states.

This video does not show re-treading. Re-treading is when new tire treads are put on an old used tire. This guy is re- grooving- he is grooving out the existing tread.

@@arturka4169 They are typically designed to be regrooved one time. I work with these things on a daily basis, and you'd be astounded at how thick the base of the tread is.
You should look into this process a little closer. It does not make the tire any more dangerous. This guy is just showing how to do it. I have a ton of old tires that I use strictly on my trailer. I dont like recaps because they blow out. This will let me get all the life I already paid for when bought new.

Regrooveable tires are readily available for commercial application... But you should never see them on a passenger vehicle.
I don't have a problem with re grooving semi tires, my problem is he's re grooving retreads

that is re-treading not re-grooving. re-grooving is ok if you want to chance your life to save a few hundred dollars.
