Totally agree regarding the lack of a manual transmission. Such a shame there is such a low buy rate. Had a 98 EX Coupe with the 5 speed. It wasn’t fast, but was such a fun little car. A manual would it more personality IMO.

Just bought a Civic EX with the turbo , sunroof etc. a few days ago. I love it. The ride quality is off the charts impressive for this price point and it's so much fun to drive. If I really had to pick one thing to complain about, and it's not much of a complaint, it would be that you can't program the garage door opener with the car. You'd figure this feature would be available in this model but it's not.
I love my civic type R and my 2020 Accord Sport 2.0T even though like the Korean brands are very good, the Honda products are tried and true for over 40 years.
@@naveenthemachine I hope so too, but trust Honda why they took longer than most other manufacturers... never have a issue with my 2016 Civic ext or my 2020 Accord 2.0T...part of the problem is care and knowledge about operation of turbo vehicles like letting run before driving off or cooling down before shutting down engine, etc.

I really like this in that color, but now the 2022 will be soon available, I would want to get that, it is so much nicer and better, still with the reliable N/A 2.0L engine. The HPD optional trim makes it look even better.
The Hyundai Elantra N Line looks great but no LSD as the Civic has. The updated 2021 Mazda 3 looks great also, except 2 reviewers complained about it's poor acceleration (that's a deal breaker). So, it's back to the Civic for me.
To answer your "leading question", my son and I are long time Civic drivers (among others). We decided to trade my 2016 Mazda 3 Hatch. His 2018 Mazda 3 Hatch was totaled. We looked at Toyota Corolla Hatchback Sport, Honda Civic, Accord, Hyundai Kona and VW Golf. We decided that the 1.5T Civic had the best combination of: 1. Handling 5* 2. Fuel Consumption 5* 3. Acceleration 4* 4. Build Quality 5* 5. Comfort 4* 6. Style 5* 7. Interior Accoutrements 4* Just then, the new 2022 initial spy shots were released of the new Gen Civic and we both said, "BARF!". We immediately bought 2 new Civics Gen 10s. I bought the sleek & sexy Civic Coupe EX and my son bought the more practical Hatchback Sport that has downright killer handling on those 18" tires/wheels. Speed is NOT our top priority, as local cops are trying to make up State funding losses due to COVID19 and are writing speeding tickets like crazy. I know, I just fought one in court (a big one).😝
I got the same exact one bit 2020 model on Halloween of last year, and I love it , great on gas and is very easy to commute in ,has great pickup when accelerating.
Might as well wait a couple months for the new one to come out and see the difference, i feel like the new one will age a lot better than the current generation.

That's why I bought This car in A 6speed manual it's even more FUN to drive.... I usually don't like machines all that much because I repair Class 8 trucks in other words Diesel mechanic, Best car in it's class Bar NONE 👍 K20C2 Honda engine is GREAT 😎 36.6 MPG average with 5000 miles from new.
I have a 2020 Honda Civic with the K20C2 and CVT. I have had the car for 10 months and it currently has 16,000 miles. Aside from the annoying interior rattles sometimes, I am very happy with this car. Though I wonder if Honda is going to replace the bulletproof K20 for a turbocharged direct injected engine in the 2022 civic, especially since Honda likes to brag about being green. Nothing wrong with turbo engines, but I just personally prefer a port injected naturally aspirated engine, especially for better reliability and not having to worry about carbon build up.
As much as I love Honda (first car was a 90s accord), Mazda, Hyundai, and Kia has really stepped up their game in value, tech, and class. The Civic, imo, looks a bit dated and stuck from the early 2010s. Ended buying a 2021 and WOW! I am impressed from it. Maybe 2022 Civic will be the redesign it needs.
It’s easy to say in videos but actually go sit in the Korean brand cars and Mazda. They will feel inferior. Plus the Honda will have stronger resale value. That’s what led me to a Civic

While you have a point in the resale value, the interior of the Mazda/Hyundai definitely as better looking and feeling versus Toyota and Honda and for several thousand less in my opinion. Choice ended up between a 2021 Elantra or a Mazda 3. Driving dynamics and power were better in the Toyota and Honda though but the interior was too good to pass. That being said, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.

Bought a 2020 sport sedan on New Year’s Eve. Was the last year with the 6 speed manual I’m so happy I found one. Wanted a reliable daily driver so the NA k series motor and 6 speed manual was the most ideal. Not a fan of CVT transmissions!
It was 21,500 but after California taxes and registration etc it was just over $23k out the door. It was the last 6 speed manual sport sedan in Modern Steel Metallic that was available in the whole state of California, literally the last one available brand new.
You have a Canadian 2019 Civic Sport. This 2021 Civic Sport they are reviewing is the US brand. Also in Canada, the Canadian Civic Sport is a higher trim level in the trim ranking than the US Civic Sport in the US trim ranking. So the Canadian civic sport will have moonroof, lane watch, electronic driver seat adjustment etc. While the US civic sport will not.
I just don't like the Speedometer inside the Civic make it more traditional like the Civic Hybrid and the Accord and the and I dont like the the center mount muffler. Hopefully The 2022 grows up and make it more traditional if not im getting the Hyundai Elantra.
We don't know enough about the new model. I will guess the new model will be out in March. If your going new, I would wait for the all new one coming up.
I’m disappointed I actually bought this car. Sound system sucks, materials are cheap and scratch easily, cabin noise is high, paint scratches easily, and the car computer can’t even connect to my iPhone sometimes.
Yeah you missed the point of the Civic. It’s an extremely reliable car that’s also crazy good on gas and will continue to get you from point a to b in a decently stylish manner that’s also sort of fun to whip this little thing around. Obviously that isn’t what you were wanting, very bad buyers decision on your part yes.

I don't really think the 2022 civic will be that good as it looks like they copied the Audi A3 eyebrow LED and the old Lexus LS or is it GS taillights? Plus the front bumper looks ugly and bland considering the design elements of Hyundai, Kia or Genesis.
I've seen this a lot but I personally love the look of this gen. It strikes a good balance of looking premium but distinctive. The 2022 Civic looks like a boring Audi derivative.

I’m disappointed I actually bought this car. Sound system sucks, materials are cheap and scratch easily, cabin noise is high, paint scratches easily, and the car computer can’t even connect to my iPhone sometimes.

Yeah you missed the point of the Civic.
It’s an extremely reliable car that’s also crazy good on gas and will continue to get you from point a to b in a decently stylish manner that’s also sort of fun to whip this little thing around.
Obviously that isn’t what you were wanting, very bad buyers decision on your part yes.
Jetta exeline 2021 smokes this civic out of water with beats audio, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, wireless charging, wireless carplay and android auto, massive sunroof and heated back seats....

Hi guys Thanks again for making me a new family member. I don't really think the 2022 civic will be that good as it looks like they copied the Audi A3 eyebrow LED and the old Lexus LS or is it GS taillights? Plus the front bumper looks ugly and bland considering the design elements of Hyundai, Kia or Genesis.

Great car but still ugly. The gen is going to be a real seller.
I've seen this a lot but I personally love the look of this gen. It strikes a good balance of looking premium but distinctive. The 2022 Civic looks like a boring Audi derivative.

I wonder why Honda dropped the Civic LX and Sport manual option when 98% of TH-cam commenters clamor to "save the manuals"? You'd think they would've put their money where there mouth is and buy them.
I did my part. 2018 Civic LX coupe with manual. 2020 Civic Sport sedan with manual. They are both a blast to drive.
