- Camping in Botswana
Deeper into Moremi now, we head to the well known and much-loved Third Bridge campsite, situated in the Okavango Delta. Though the campsite we booked is not the one we get when we arrive, we still find ourselves in a great site, with a beautiful big shady tree, and located close to the ablutions. It's also one of the more private sites, with vegetation on both sides separating us from neighbours. Though our Wild Dog battery troubles continue, we still have an absolutely incredible stay at Third Bridge. I would definitely recommend this for anyone willing to camp unfenced (with lions very much right on your doorstep), and off-grid. An absolute bucket list camping adventure.
The camp features great well-kept ablutions, hot water from solar geysers, and a fire pit, with beautiful shade on almost every site. The sites are also all clearly demarcated, which is excellent. They also have taps on-site, and the water is said to be potable.

Hi my friend! Once again an absolute great report. It´s always big fun to see your new videos. And as I have been there three years ago I can ensure everybody every comment of you is absolutely right. I love that camp.
Thanks! What a great place to camp. Glad you enjoyed the review.
A great video many thanks for posting. I did a two week self drive camping safari in Namibia in October 2022 and planning Botswana in 2025.
We really enjoyed Botswana, the wildlife was great. Hope our videos will help with your planning.
Wow, this is well done. Thank you.
Thank you! Appreciate the positive feedback.
Great review as usual, thx for all the hard work in making these videos.
Thanks! Glad you find them useful.
Thanks
Thanks Revonia. Glad you are enjoying the channel 🙏🏽
Very good review bru
Cool, glad you found it informative 👍🏾
Love your energy! We also loved Third Bridge campsite and your review is spot on
Thanks! Great campsite, we would definitely go there again.
Lions are regular visitors in the campsite, as they use the bridge to cross. Don't walk around in the dark. They also might use the warmer concrete around the ablution-block in the winter to lie down at night.
The area is nothing less then spectacular for gameviewing. I also say highly recommended. Thanks for the review.
Certainly spectacular! It was a bit daunting with the lions so close at night. What an amazing place.
@@TravelGigolo Just keep the fire going, don't fall asleep outside 😀
😄
Good da!y awesome ! ;)
Thanks! Nice campsite 👍🏾
Thanks for the great channel and super useful campsite reviews. We're planning a Bots self drive trip in September and your videos have been lifesavers. I drive an 80 series 4.5 efi with around 20-23L/100km(mixed town and highway driving). How much petrol do I need in total to drive from maun to Kasane? We staying in khwai, linyanti and Kasane for total of 5-6days. I currently have the stock 90L tank and 6 extra Jerry's(120L). U recon I'll make it? 😅
With 120L extra you'll definitely make it 😄 The sandy parts will consume quite a bit of fuel, possibly 25L/100km or more.
I'm glad I have a diesel. I get about 17L/100km. It's not much better 😄
Enjoy the trip.
Hi What is the best campsites at 3rd bridge (the campsite numbers)
Difficult to say, all the campsites were occupied, so we didn't get to check the other sites out or take note of the numbering. I think we were in campsite 3. The sites are preassigned.
I would choose the same site again if it were possible. It's close to the bathroom and well away from the gate and reception.
