    Simply amazing, after watching the build for so long, to see the trains running so well. Thanks for your dedication to this project. 👍👍

    Excellent video, Roaming railfan. You have done it again, presenting actual video of what I believe many people want and need to see. This will affect many to cease driving and take the trains. When you can get there safely and fast on the ground/rails they will come.

    Very good. Have thoroughly enjoyed watching the developments of this service. That unintemded posed shot at Cocoa worked out really well. Cheers from New Zealand 😃

    Great footage, trains seem to be running full speed on FEC tracks, but a bit slower at cocoa guess thats down to the switches.

      Correct, they do have to slow down for Cocoa Junction and the tunnel/curve

    Nicely done, Austin. Yes, it’s monotonous. The trains will get longer but the monotony will remain. But that’s a good thing. Railroads do run best when doing the same thing, with minor variation, everyday.

    Cool. Google needs to update their satellite imagery to include the Orlando extension and all the new mainline along the FEC.

    I've really enjoyed your excellent videos recording the progress and completion of this project. Your skill with drone photography is amazing. Personally, I'm sorry to see so many trains in wraps which makes it so difficult for passengers to enjoy the views and to my mind look pretty ugly - but that's subjective, I know. I agree with others that your personal investment of time in this has been remarkable and we distant viewers (UK here) have delighted in your work enormously. Thank you.

    Just got back from Sebastian did some rail fanning at 510 and 512. After watching all the videos you did it was great to see the line in person. Excellent job on the build out.

    Great video as always! Fantastic! If it was the government building what Brightline did, they would still be doing the Ft. Lauderdale to Palm Beach segment.

    Are they running 110 mph between Cocoa and West Palm Beach yet, or are they still running them at 90mph? Great video as always!

      I believe they started in the past week or two but I don’t think any of the trains in this video are.

    The wrapped trains as so cool looking. Do you know if they stay on long? So nice to see Brightline finally in good working order from Orlando. Thanks for still keeping us informed and for taking the time to film it all! 👍

    Is one bright blue trainset not wrapped?

    • @RoamingRailfan

      Possibly, I haven’t been keeping track of what is wrapped and what isn’t

    I'm surprised that they didn't remove all of the old concrete bridge support piers at Sebastian river. You can still see them under the FEC bridge. Wouldn't they be a navigation hazard to boaters?

    • @RoamingRailfan

      They were removed from the navigation channels. The river itself is fairly shallow on toward the edges so I assume the Coast Guard approved leaving them since boats don’t pass through those anyways.

    Brightline trains are running both on the left and the right mainline. Is there a pattern or a reason to it? When I rode Brightline, it ran on the right mainline leaving WPB station, then soon changed to the left track, but south of Fort Lauderdale it crossed over to the right track again. However, we never met a train before Aventura, so I am wondering if trains on the FEC do run on the right mainline in general (like road traffic in the US or continental Europe) or if there is no common rule. To my knowledge, on most dual -tracked routes trains in the US use the right track, or am I wrong?

    • @RoamingRailfan

      Trains can run on either track in either direction, there is no standard. It’s all on dispatcher discretion based on other trains, track work, etc

  • @ThunderTiger0801

    Why is the track on the south side of the prepared area for the second mainline here at 1:30 but on the north end here at 3:00

    • @RoamingRailfan

      That is still the south side at 3:00

    • @ThunderTiger0801

      I mean like if you follow the tracks towards Orlando to the other side of the tunnel then its on the north side isnt it?@@RoamingRailfan

    • @RoamingRailfan

      Nope, the second track will eventually go on the south side all the way to Orlando and the current track was aligned with that in mind.
