I hate the train wraps and have complained to Brightline CEO and Orlando station manager and hope you do too.
👊🏾👴🏾✌🏾
BRIGHTLINE RESPONDS
"Hi there! We understand your concern and appreciate your feedback. Going forward, all our train wraps are designed to ensure a clear view by not covering more than a certain percentage of the windows. Some of our current wraps will remain in place for now, which may result in limited visibility. Thank you for your patience as we work to enhance your travel experience. 💛"
@@samtrak1204 yeah, it definitely gets in the way of the experience. Thanks for watching and commenting! ✊🏾💯
@@tonygauthierjr I'm enjoying riding with you and your family to my hometown.. I am a retired Amtrak conductor living in DC but I'm from Orlando where my daughter lives. She has ridden Brightline 3 times this year so I guess we've finally got another railfan in the family now. I am going to send you Brightline's much delayed response to my complaint about the train wraps in a separate text. Check it out.

@@chanman4rings yes I mentioned this in the video. Thanks for watching! ✊🏾💯
Great video! I believe that the alcohol in the station used to be free for premium riders so that seems like they made a change. You have a great voice for narration!
@@matty2128 thanks for the compliment! Yeah, you’d think it would be free since you get free alcohol on the train. 🤷🏾♂️
Alcohol was free at Orlando station last December.
You can definitely tell the European-inspiration the people at Brightline took for their trains. Really nice, high-tech experience!
It wasn’t just inspiration. The locomotive is built by Siemens, which is a German company. Thanks for watching. I’ll be doing a lot more of these types of videos in the future, so be sure to subscribe.
yet these trains are pretty rare in europe if available at all. I've traveled all over the continent and never seen these locomotives with an engine in the front.
in europe they're usually Alstom or stadler which are EMU units and most of the railways in europe are electrified which allow for a quiet and fast ride. the US only has the north east corridor electrified.
The northeast should be ashamed of ourselves with the pile of junk we use up here.
@tonygauthierjr I will definitely subscribe I'm a electric locomotive freak and Eurostar is the ish. Acela is cool especially the horn on it but the Europeans know how to treat a avid rail fan like me but I'm in Pennsylvania. 🫣
@@user-ft2dq1dt8n Dutchie here, i’ve used the Eurostar multiple times before, too bad our rail here in Europe isn’t an internationally connected system. It’s a hassle with schedules, delays and even purchasing tickets for the right train that’s leaving the right station at the right time, it’s so hard to get all the tickets sometimes.

As much as I appreciate Brightline service, we should be honest in that 125mph for a 40-mile segment does not really qualify as "high speed." Still, they need to expand to many more corridors and build ACTUAL high speed railways.
Agreed. Although, Brightline goes approximately 125 for more than 40 miles. It’s pretty much from the east/west turn to almost the Orlando airport.
It's still early in the era of private rail in the US. Give it time. Compared with Amtrak, this is so much better. You can tell a lot of thought went into designing this travel experience.
@@kokoken1 That's fine. My only issue is the speed. I've ridden Brightline back in 2018 before the Orlando segment and while it was a fantastic experience, in my view, it was nothing more than a high end commuter train.

Hey Tony. I really enjoyed the vid. I must reveal that my buddy and I rode the Brightline from Miami to WPB the very first week it went live to the public. It's probably unbelievable that the ticket price was just $10 for the opening weekend. Inside the Downtown Miami complex, my first feeling was like "I'm I at the Airport or what?" We did not do premium level, but with the layout, the comfort, the views (without wraps), the newness, and the cleanliness of the passenger spaces, the experience was still amazing. Interesting. I've seen the Brightline train many times as I drive on the 528 Beachline Highway. In that stretch, it seems to be going about 80 mph based on how fast it goes by when we're going the same direction. I guess the speed varies depending where the train is.
Yes it does. It travels the fastest on the East/West track from the coast into Orlando. Thanks for watching!
I gotta on a Eurostar from Paris to Brussels earlier this year. It went 189MPH. Awaiting for our trains to catch up to that. Maybe when I’m in my 60s …. And my city (NY) is struggling dearly to expand our subway system. The MTA is corrupt and struggles with funds management.
We would need a complete overhaul of our infrastructure to accomplish truly high speed rail in the US. I’m good with service that covers the too far to drive, but too close to fly need.
Next train you have to try is in Brazil
Belo Horizonte MG to Vitoria Es

NE Corridor Amtrak (electric catenary) Acela reaches 155 + MPH through Princeton Jct. Also through Westerly RI. No diesel there.. No diesel set can go that fast.

Yes, their parking garages are very tight to negotiate. Yes, the restrooms on the train are near spotless. Brightline seems to have it together. They just need to remain on schedule without hitting people or cars, all of which are reported to be the fault of people where they should not have been. Just keep going and allow the authorities to determine who is at fault.
Haha…I think you might be onto something! 💯✊🏾😆
It's not the fastest train in the US though........Amtrak's Acela is. Goes 150mph. Brightline is a higher-speed train service. Not high speed rail.
@@SeanCakaBroncoFan623 yes I mentioned this in the video. But thanks for your input, and I appreciate you watching it.
Still not even close to an actual high speed train. 125 mph on new tracks for 17 miles out of a 240 mile route is not high speed rail or even in the same ballpark!
@@TohaBgood2 maybe true, but it’s better than just about anything else we have currently in the US, with the Acela being the only exception. 🤷🏾♂️ But, I do appreciate you watching! ✊🏾
@@tonygauthierjr Nope. Not even close. First of all, both the Acela and the Northeast Regional run at 125+ mph for more than 50% of their routes. They're both considered HSR lines by international standards.
Brightline doesn't even come remotely close to that. About 50% of the Brightline route is at 80 mph, about 20% is at 110 mph (with interruptions), and less than 8% is at 125 mph, but for some reason single-tracked. Amtrak has several routes that stay above 110 mph for more than 40% of their routes - the Wolverine, the Lincoln Service, and the several routes that run on the NEC.
And all the Western US routes use the exact same Siemens trains as Brightline. What they are good at is marketing. That's it. You just bought their sales pitch.
@@TohaBgood2 thanks for providing such detailed insight. Again, thanks for watching!
@@TohaBgood2Acela is not high speed. It covers 450 miles between DC and Boston in 6-1/2 to 7 hours when it’s on time whereas high speed trains around the world would cover the same distance in 3hours or less. ( Sam Jennings, retired Acela/Amtrak Conductor).👊🏾👴🏾✌🏾
@@samtrak1204 Nope. We have an actual international HSR standard that tells us what is and what isn't HSR. Both the Acela and the Northeast Regional are HSR because they stay above 125 mph for more than 50% of their route.
And this is about average for HSR lines all over the world. Only four countries in Europe have HSR lines that are faster than the Acela, and a majority of Japanese Shinkansen lines are about the same or slower than the Acela.
If you don't want to count 125 mph lines as HSR then only 8 countries around the world have HSR according to you. That's just nonsense.

@@tonygauthierjr It wasn’t exactly what I wanted to hear because I want ALL wraps to be removed from windows but it’ll do for now.✌️🤣
Having airport security to scan luggage and passengers is simply unnecessary and annoying. One reason that many people find flying anxiety creation. They also don’t like to be scanned or X-rayed given high rates of cancer.
I wouldn’t feel safe without security. I guess you could always fly private or semi-private out of an FBO if it bothers you that much. 🤷🏾♂️
I have to laugh, the Brightline trains speed thru downtown Stuart at about 15 MPH and sled thru Jensen Beach even slower. Blood line is a mess, biggest boondoggle in the state. Should have used the Amtrak tracks west of the populate areas instead of blaring horns and dragging cars down the tracks. It is a joke See how empty the station is? The trains are the same way.
That’s not fast. You have Chinese Japan and other countries that have trains that travel over two and 300 miles an hour not for small section either for the entire duration of the ride. This train Brightline is not high speed

14:34 Why should they provide free alcohol for premium passengers? The difference in price from Smart Class isn't all that much (and it is not all that expensive). This is NOT the same as a business class lounge in airports. Plus, you get free drinks during the trip. Give me a break.
@@mikeymutual5489 from what I’ve heard from another viewer, they used to provide free alcohol in the Premium lounge. If they offer it on the train, then why not in the lounge?
