And really grateful to have Dan from @DanVsWorld guide me through the great Vietnamese Cuisine in California! Our first stop, the best handrolls in the country at Brodard's where the specialize in the Vietnamese handrolls amongst other Vietnamese dishes and their pastries!
And as luck would have it, right around the corner is a unlimited Lobster buffet! And not only were their lobsters, but a great selection of seafood including crab, oysters and delicious scallops on the half shell. And all this gets better because of the great value! The rolls look great! Reminds me of Summer Rolls in Temple City/Rosemead. I love that Dan asked if he can pick up the rolls to show the audience; so considerate! Nothing beats politeness from these two gentlemen.

OC resident here. Great suggestions for Viet food. I just want to point out that both of these restaurants are not technically in Little Saigon, which is a few blocks stretch within the city of Westminster - just in case if travelers are stopping by and get lost. :)

It was such a great experience especially with Dan showing the different dishes...my one regret was not getting to try the other places he recommended...but there's always a next time 🙂

I’m not sure what are the rhymes and reasons behind the use of disposable foam plates and plastic cutlery at the buffet but that has to be not good for the environment considering how many people comes thru the buffet each day. I hope the restaurant will revise that soon.

Top 5 cuisines for me.... So fresh with all the greens along, such comfort with a great Pho broth, back to the fresh - can't beat the beautiful fish sauce. Vietnamese food is one of the greatest. 🍀❤️❤️🌱☘️🌿

Oh my...those spring rolls looked so good!
I went there today (Sunday) with the family. The crab was great, and they offered more dishes than the traditional "Asian Buffet". The lines were quite long for the crab, and extremely long for the lobster, but there were plenty of other dishes that you could have chosen from and not be disappointed. They did ration out the crab because people started taking bucket-loads back to their tables, but all in all the food was great. My only gripe was the waitress and lack of following through with drink refills after multiple times of asking.
The big draw is the lobster and there was a big line when I went as well.. but near the end, there wasn't much of a line at all. It's interesting because when I went, there were a lot of crabs to go around. Glad you enjoyed it and it's quite good value for a comfort Buffet 🙂

Oh no. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. In the early 2000s I had a remote job located in Orange Co. I sometimes had to go to the home office. A Vietnamese man was hired by the office. He found out of my love of Vietnamese food. He and his family would take me to Westminster for dinner when I came to town. Good restaurants! This restaurant wasn't open back then. Thank goodness for me. I would have been hooked!
Tip, use a spoon for the sauces. Much easier than dipping. Nice video!
Even though it's called "Little Saigon", but I feel it's more like Chinese food, not Vietnamese food.

Brodard is an institution in Little Saigon. I don’t think it’s all that spectacular but it is the most polished presentation of Vietnamese food in the entire area. This is why half the customers are non Vietnamese (locals love it too)

No place like Orange County for great food!! My Aunt and Uncle lived there. We were the only Southern people who used soy sauce for year's!!😂🤣 My Uncle was from the Philippines & taught my Mom all kinds of awesome recipe's. They'd come to Tennessee every summer & we kid's could not wait!! Uncle Rudy could cook like no other!! Sorry Mom!!😂 You tried!! I miss them everyday & you brought back memories with this video!! TFS!! You just didn't eat any fish eyeballs!!😂 Uncle Rudy always saved them for me since I was his favorite!! I hid them under my plate!!🤣😂😆😉 Our little secret Tim!!😂🤣😆😎

Seems like a lot of places haven't gone back to washing dishes and don't plan to...many using plastic in LA and OC 🤷♀️😏
That was definitely a surprise for me. didn't really like all those disposable plates/cutlery
The switch to plastic happened because of the covid scares, they haven't switch back yet as I was there a couple weeks ago.

Really enjoying your videos. I've never enjoyed rice spring rolls...too slimey for me but love the ingredients. Please do a video on salad bars. Spinach, Ceasar, macaroni, eggs....

If you pull off the center "fin" in the tail, there is a wonderful sweet meat in there. Give it a try. For a larger lobster, the other tail fins will, as well. I LOVE your videos!! Keep up the great work!

I have not been either in Los Angeles or California but everywhere he win Vancouver you have your own ways
Brodard is in the City of Fountain Valley. Westminster was their old location. If you want a more gourmet version of those fresh spring rolls, go to their sister restaurant called Brodard Chateau in Garden Grove.
I basically grew up in Westminster Mall…it’s looking very sad in there, but I need to visit this Buffet immediately
Wanted to note, Luxe only has lobsters on Sunday now, they used to have it on Saturday and Friday nights too, but that is why Sunday is when they're most expensive.

You are really not a picky eater. Either that or you’re too polite. That buffet looks pretty depressing for $38. Nothing wrong with being polite but I think you should try to be more transparent in your reviews to avoid misleading your viewers.
You should have seen Tim having pig blood at the Filipino restaurant.

Whenever I am in Orange County, I always go to Brodard's even if its just to grab some pork spring rolls and dipping sauce to go. Locals order those by the tray full on the weekends.

Brodard was very good and would head back for sure. The buffet was very nice though the main draw was the lobsters...worth a visit but probably not a frequent thing😉
Tim n' Dan, very tasty looking food, ya had me at the rice spring rolls...and I heard the crunch. Fish sauce is a favorite of mine.
Eatery Two, also mouthwatering foods. Clean and fresh. Ah Friend, those are only half lobsters and gosh they kept putting them on your plate. I would have added a whole plate of the sashimi. Soup looked excellent, needed to know the ingredients. More scallops. 👍 Best

I hope you have time to visit The Source in Buena Park. They have great varieties of Asian restaurants in an outdoor mall setting. Also try Kuni Sushi in Buena Park if you want to try Korean style sashimi.

You always find all the good buffets with lobsters, scallops and other seafood.

Excellent buffet restaurant with amazing choices but disappointing they use styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery. Especially with our major environmental issues we are experiencing this summer. None of these styrofoam plates disintegrates and just piles up in our landfills.

Great video Tim 😄that's so funny because we have a place here in Houston that serves the same type of rolls but it's Bodard instead of Brodard😆I was looking forward to the Luxe Buffet but they put cheese on the 🦞😭I'm still going though 😆 I'll just eat more of the scallops and 🦪😄you got me with the 3,4,or 5 DOZEN of 🦞🤣

I want to correct a little bit information here, first Location Brodard actually Located in Fountain Valley, in front of Albertsons supermarket, right across Mile Square Park by the tennis courts side. NOT Westminter. Although Fountain Valley next to Westminter but FV isn't part of Little Saigon...
Unfortunately Westminter Mall is dead after covid. Most of the stores had closed out of business sad. Omg I can't imagine how many of those foam plates they threw away daily 🤬 what a wasted and horrible for the environment! Seriously!

Definitely appreciate the feedback and taking the time to reach out. I did enjoy both places..it was quite good value and given the price point, it certainly met expectations. I think there were a couple of dishes at the buffet that weren't too good, but those were few and far between. Again, really do appreciate any and all candid comments.
