Unless some stringent measures will be taken against such unruly passengers such incidents will become common under the guise of expression of free speech or freedom.

These incidents are becoming more frequent because airlines staff do night shift duty more because it is more pay and lose there minds due to lack of sleep and depression when dealing with such kind of passengers, in the old days they would be calm and composed and if any situation arose it would be de-escalated in a calm and composed manner but todays crew love to escalate the situation and post on social media.
now I dont know what happend in this particular situation but I'm sure both the crew and passenger are at fault for the plane to turn back so all involved should be punished,
Passenger should be banned from flying and subject to incarceration if he threatened the security of the flight
Crew should be suspended for not taking better measure to handle the situation because it cost a lot of money to turn back for nothing

You are probably not a frequent flyer. Airline companies in india have become dirty and money minded. They literally dont give a single fuck about their staff member no matter if its a tata owned airline as well. Brand itself has huge reputation that people think they cant do such stuff to staff but the actually reality is what airline staff knows. Aviation has become filthy dirty thats what i can say. Competition amongst airlines buying planes, but nobody gives a fuck if uncivilized twigs board the aircraft and company expects staff to act like “athithi devo bhava in front of such passengers”. Had it been me i would have attacked back to passenger for self defense but i wouldnt had done that cause i would have lost my job. This is the sad story mate

Rubbish. First find out the real situation before blaming the crew. The man was mentally unstable and wanted to open the exit gates. When the airhostesses tried to stop him, he hit them

Alcohol should be served only in the Business Class and First Class. Nowadays lots of Low Class people travel in the planes, and they just cannot handle alcohol

Yeah, and business / first class passengers earn the license to consume so much alcohol that they pee on fellow passengers without even realising it. Shove your logic.

Noooo….i dont want beer or wine to be stopped…idc if they stop serving ballentines whiskey…cuz i dont like whiskey…i travel frequently in economy class to and fro frankfurt -New Delhi…and often women crew of air india are such nice people that they give me two cans of beer and manytimes they come back and give me packets of peanuts and extra beer if they are left over. 😂 I dont see this happening in any other airline…neither in Emirates or Lufthansa

Check the background of the passenger as he might be Khalistani and would have tried to chaos so the flight can be landed in Pakistan or other airports except India for medical reasons or he and his family members might have tried to highjack the flight.
