RARE 1780 Thaler silver The Real Truth antique or modern?

I've asked a # of Coin dealers how to differentiate between the originals & restrikes of the beautiful coins & ZERO knew the answer! In fact...a couple said ALL 1780 Thalers were restrikes...which I questioned. Incredible how the actual answer is so simple! Thank you!

Maria Theresa Thaler are NOT STERLING they are 83.3% silver. 5 parts silver and 1 part copper!!!!! not 92.5%, (correct though that they contain 0.75 troy ounces of silver) 🙂 and should weigh 28 grams!

wow, thanks for the tips! I knew another way of telling originals from restrikes: Originals have on the eagle's side the text "ARCHID.AUST.DUX" whereas restrikes show "ARCHID.AVS.DUX". The restrikes are silver 0.833
