Any camera can be a professional camera if given to someone who uses it for professional/paid work. I used the £799 Fuji X-M5 in 2 paid shoots (clothing campaigns) and it did well. It worked well because I had lighting. People should talk more about lighting instead of cameras and in my opinion, we should all invest in lighting and train ourselves more on it rather than obsessing on rolling shutter and what not.
There's a clear reason why you don't see Fujifilm at the Olympics or at national sporting events, heck if I showed up to a Corporate event with a Fujifilm I wouldn't be called back, lighting means nothing when your camera is focused on a eyelid
@ There are cameras that are purpose built and there are cameras that will be good enough to shoot certain jobs such as what you mentioned, corporate. Try filming a corporate talking head interview in a corporate board room without lights.
I’ve owned it for a while so will say at 15:42 about the catch of the R8, it’s the lp-e17 battery. It eats that battery like crazy and it has overheating issues at 4k60. It’s been a good clip camera, but I love it for a photo shooting camera but even then it will go through 3~4 batteries for every 1 or 1 ½ that the A7s3 or R6m2 uses for the same shooting time for photos and video.
I am using three ZV-E10 as a studio cameras only. Don't care about rolling shatter issues because it's out of my use case. Simply perfect at an excellent price. I can record in ProRes HQ 4K directly via HDMI on my Hyperdeck Studio HD Plus even with remote control support. I am using everything manual with 7artisans vision and sirui night Walker cinema lenses. No overheating even with 4h livestream in hdmi and local recording in 4k.
Yes! Nikon pushed the envelope for sure! I thin the specs of the Z6iii will not be beat by sony, and z6iii has no overheating issues so its going to be interesting!
I think the Nikon Z6III is probably a better value over the Fujifilm XH2S. I love my Fujifilm but the Nikon offers better AF, full frame and better lens options for video
Watch Gerald Undones review of the Z6iii and see how much of a hit the dynamic range takes. That’s why I didn’t recommend this camera. Nikon has a great camera with the Z8 but not the Z6iii.
dynamic range is way overblown. I honestly can’t think of a single time, in the last 10 years, that dynamic range has ruined or limited a shot for me. If that’s the case, then Canon should’ve tanked years ago for having some of the worst dynamic range in the industry until lately. Also, the Sony a9 III and Canon R5 II have both suffered from reduced dynamic range due to their sensor technology, and yet they are still amazing tools.
@@pascalbasel Sorry, i wouldn't take the word of Gerald Undones as facts. Most youtuber barely understand the science and just regurgitates what others are saying about dynamic range.
Any Sony camera that suffers from overheating especially the SonyA7IV is not really something I would call professional. I had the Sony A1 and the Lumix S1h on a wedding shoot. And guess which camera overheated out of nowhere.
I think s5iix is a professional camera yes you pay a lot less for it than an fx3 which is the video king but this camera compares neck n neck with fx3 and even in some regards it surpasses fx3 in professional features that a professional would like in a camera
Canon EOS M with magic lantern is the best budget camera (200€ used), however this is not for beginners and takes some time getting used to the workflow
Great summary Pascal! IBIS is great for photographers too. Helps with sharpness at slow shutter speeds, handheld or one handed shooting, or higher MP photos through sensor shifting if the camera has the option. The s5ii can do handheld 96MP stills for example.
I’ve never even had contact with anyone from Sony. Look at the Z6iiis dynamic range… It’s nice what they tried with the sensor but if the DR gets that low I can’t recommend a camera.
@@pascalbaselHave you used the Z 6III? Or is your conclusion based off of another person’s opinion? I have the Z 6III and I don’t think I have ever had an issue with dynamic range. The problem with TH-cam channels is that we always like to read technical jargons and not actually do or use things in the real world.
Anything above $1000 is considered semi professional, pro cameras are normally ranged between $1500 and above. You don't need. $4000+ to make it a pro camera.
@@pascalbasel I'm French but I speak English and I prefer to hear your real voice 😉. I need to change the language of my account to English and it's ok. Thanks for the reply.
Mach weiter so 💪👌 Lg Andi

Right, forgot about the small battery.

Yes, for that use case, the E10 is perfect 👍🏻
The next ones coming are the Sony a7v AND Canon R6iii. Nikon has thrown down the gauntlet - competition is great!

@pascalbasel What does the footage look like though? Can you see the loss of dynamic range when you look at the footage?

GH7 is the very top. I have all the current Apsc cameras but the GH7 is amazing with Sharpness and colors and useful features
I think s5iix is a professional camera yes you pay a lot less for it than an fx3 which is the video king but this camera compares neck n neck with fx3 and even in some regards it surpasses fx3 in professional features that a professional would like in a camera
That’s what I talk about in the intro.
Used gh5 currently is a great deal

Love my s5ii, so versatile
Thanks for the video! Any reason why you didnt include any black magic cameras? I'm researching right now for my next purchase.
Watch the intro and you know 😉
Lumix gh7 and g9 ii
Awesome video Pascal. You always make excellent video presentations.
The Panasonic S9 was a Big Miss here 😊
I just picked up the Sony a7cii. Its too good!
You miss Nikons Zf, z8, z9 - arguably the best cameras exist
Z8 is mentioned
The best video camera under $1000 is the Fuji XM-5. 6k opengate...micdrop
That Sony money truck is on this guys backyard. No mentioned on the Nikon Z6iii. It's better than some of the Sony cameras his trying to push.

Warum hast du das video mit einer KI Stimme vertont ? :D
TH-cam macht das automatisch. Total nervig. Danke, dass du bescheid sagst. Ich lösche das direkt.
@pascalbasel kein Ding, war völlig verwundert :D
AI translation is really bad. How can I desactivate it ?
Which language? I can deactivate it in the backend. Bad feature from TH-cam.

Unfortunately, I didn’t use the S5ii yet, so I’m not sure about low light at 12800. I might get one in 2025 and will make review then.
@pascalbasel OK that would be great!thank you for the answer👍🙏
Nikon die?
Was waiting for your 2024 edition, on the other side I’ve just bought my second camera for videos just few days ago 🥲
