I think its pretty clear that if you are a video focused creator, then the ZV-E10 II is the way to go. It blows the Fuji especially when it comes to low light recording. I can immediately tell that Camera B is the Sony when I saw how it handles low light compared to Camera A. However, if you're a photography first creator, then i think the Fuji edges it out a little bit more. Especially with the Fuji film simulations that everyone's raving about.
Excellent comparison as always ❤ I don't know if you have done this before, but I would love to see a comparison video between the Lumix S9 and the Sony ZV-E1.
Great Review! For me, I’d make my decision based on the look of the images. Personally, I prefer the character of the Fuji images compared to the more clinical look of the Sony.
Excellent detailed comparison. Think its hands down Sony. AF & customization is just way better with Sony. And the auto modes make everything super user friendly with excellent results. The Fuji is more for the person looking to have fun playing with the camera to keep them feeling inspired. But thats the beauti of camera's all depends on what the user is looking for the camera and what they really need. I have Sony, Fuji, and Lumix. I personally think Lumix S series is the way to go for me.
I was originally going to buy the Fuji film XM-5 but my peers quickly told me to invest a little more and snag a a6700, best purchase I've made in a long while.
Awesome comparison, the high quality production value and cinematic style in all your videos is the best on TH-cam!!! I just bought the original Sony ZV-E10 last week thanks to all your in-depth reviews. I couldn't justify the price jump from the first to second version. Now I'm wondering if I should return the ZV-E10 and get an X-M5 as it is only a bit more expensive. I will be using it primarily for video but looking to get into some photography as well. Thanks again for all that you do!
Great comparison! I think I'll end up going with the ZV-E10 II. I film action figure reviews on a tripod so I mainly need good color reproduction and reliable autofocus when moving the figures around and showing the small details. Plus I'm frequently removing the SD card to take it to the pc for editing which I think could get a bit annoying on the X-M5.
Still got my first version of ZV-E10 as a walk around camera (besides my FX3 and A7IV - for work) and its a little beast... paired with a Yongnuo 16 f1.8 or a 35 f1.4 GM lens and the quality is still amazing, and it so compact, the only issue is the non existing IBIS, that's the only reason I am thinking to sell it and get the A6700.
As always, really good review. Personally I ordered the XM-5, because it's more compact, 6k open gate, mechanical shutter for photos, cheaper and I think it looks better as well (not that that matters though lmao). However, there is two questions I have which not a single review on TH-cam has answered yet: 1. Which one has the better rolling shutter performance when it comes to video? 2. When used as a webcam (e.g for streaming hours at a time), how do they compare when it comes to overheating?
Both great cameras for that travel type market. Both jam packed with features but also missing things and having large compromises, 1x card slot, no IBIS, no viewfinder. Sony missing a joystick and Fuji missing that shutter dial. Once you pop the gripping the Fuji it’s no longer pocket friendly. It begs the question to me, is it easier to just buy a used A7 iii for the same price which covers these things. I love the weight and the apsc line has some great lenses that are small and compact, but I think I’m still holding out for one that has a joystick and all the other missing features. I think the a6700 comes close but there’s no joystick on that. Saying this though 2x card slots, is overkill when you think how many times it has come in useful but if you are a pro you can’t take the chance. Overall both are great I’m glad both companies are releasing these lines and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next. Thanks be quick question can you externally record and internally at the same time on the Fuji? Much love for the channel man.
Hey Paul, thanks for the comment. All very insightful. You are schooled up on both of these cameras. I appreciate it. As far as the dual recording, I do not know because I’m not a live streamer. If I ever hook it up to do a live stream, I’ll have to test it out and let you know
@ the ZV-E1 looks too grainy my g9 looks better but can’t hold focus. The lumix system provides 10x more with a smoother interface. Sony looks garbage this is the worst image quality ever indoors. I bought Sony for low light and it’s a joke
@ I have a deal to trade my ZV-E1 for an S9 Do you have any words to the wise I require the least grain and Good AF The zv-E1 has been really grainy for me
@thefilmalliance no, But l saw his comment and l was sure you would respond. I want to buy a6700 l hope lm making a good choice. I would be happy to speak to you on a personal level lm in Africa and l really need to take my work to another level
Great video as always. I almost picked up the X-M5 but X-S20 was on sale making them almost the same price so I ended up pick it instead. Love it so far even though the AF is a bit slow compare to Sony, still great product, hopefully future firmware update would improve it
@ yeah X-S20 was on sale and also Fuji gives $150 cash back making the X-S20 about $109 more than the X-M5 😬 If only Sony A6700 had the same offer I would have pick it up in stead, low budget problem 😭
@thefilmalliance I shoot with 5 cameras 4 zv e10 and 1 zv e1, in hlg3. Because zv e10 only have 8 bit video. I bought and sell 6700 because strange hlg colors, it do not match
@@thefilmalliance there is no s-log 2 in new cameras and best profile for multicam with 8 bit cameras is hlg. Maybe you can check hlg profile in Sony zv e10 ii?
Not in the market for either camera (I own enough cameras from this generation😂) but fascinating video. Both beer impressive for the price. I like having a EVF and bigger battery
I'm ready to leave Sony because Sony can't allow higher than 4K recording because of their fake limitations to protect their cinema cameras. They're so lame and fake, they can't even allow 4K DCI. Without fake limitations, Fujifilm, Nikon, and Panasonic are allowed to walk all over Sony. Sony isn't even allowed to respond competitively. This is a very bad situation. If this continues, I'll be complaining about 4K for an entire decade. I've had enough of this. I want to be able to do basic stuff like punch in on my 6K recorded @ 16mm. I want to do that because it's utilitarian functional stuff I'm trying to do. It's not some film maker elitist thing. Sony stopped being a leader 5 years ago, and it's all because of some artificial market tiering.
Which camera would you like for me to compare against the FujiFilm X-M5?

Hey Zahina, I value your opinion. That’s pretty insane you could see the difference from the low light shots. Good eye bro
Excellent comparison as always ❤
I don't know if you have done this before, but I would love to see a comparison video between the Lumix S9 and the Sony ZV-E1.
The Fuji stills look way better imo. I would definitely pick that over the sony
This is a common reason why Sony is losing to Fuji in the creative looks game. Sony has the upper hand when it comes to auto focus.
Sony definitely needs to add silver tops to more of their cameras besides the A7c series
That would be cool. Retro style is back
Great Review! For me, I’d make my decision based on the look of the images. Personally, I prefer the character of the Fuji images compared to the more clinical look of the Sony.
Thanks, I kind of feel the same way. But Sonys autofocus is what keeps me in the Sony ecosystem
Excellent detailed comparison.

You can say that becuase you own Fuji and Sony. Thank you for your honest opinion. I have got to try out a Lumix S series.

Which is the best overall 2024 budget king camera and also professional camera..?
Define Professional? Some would say FX30. Some would say ZV-E10.
What will you be using it for? What lenses do you own? What’s your budget?

Yes the side loading of the SD card will be greatly useful to you. Go with the ZV-E10 II in my opinion. Thanks for the compliment
If this is needed compared to Nikon Z50ii, what are your thoughts.
