This is amazing, it's been 8 years since I was a music composer student and Vienna was my very first library, it's great to see how they are still doing great and I'm proud of keep following their growth since then.
Btw, I love how the reverb captures the feeling of the orchestra!!

I just tried it in a 7.1.4 main mic and a 5.1 rear only setup with Vienna voices in the Pernegg collection through DearVR on headphones on Nuendo. It's a huge upgrade from the regular MIR Pro. Things get way too real, and beyond it. The silkiest thing I've heard. It's genius, and I keenly look forward to working with my VI collections at a whole new level, or must I say Dimension. :-)
@@siddharthsharma2129 Did you had to re-pruchase the room packs or do they upgrade automatically to the 3D version?
With this great new release, I hope there will still be new VI libraries once in a while. It's great to be able to blend the two worlds, Synchron and VI.
I know this is an old post, but I have a question: Is this primarily for use with sample libraries or "dead" recordings? I want to try and use this with a live orchestral recording...there isn't a lot of room or ambience, but I don't want to do anything wrong that will make it sound bad...i really want to get this library but want to also make sure I'm doing it right...the lack of actual tutorials is mindblowing.
This is soooo dope. I love to create ‘original classical’ concert works and this would be the literal PERFECT software for say a virtual piano concerto … does VSL offer a trial for this? Also is there a way to globally shift the room once I’ve got all my orchestra virtual instruments wired into Amir PRO 3D?

Could I use this with piano? I am trying to get it to work but, it keep disappearing and reappearing.
I’d imagine that this renders the power pan and a few other Vienna Suite Pro plugins moot.

You can use an external binaurailizer, for example DearVR Monitor, Atmos, and many more. MIR Pro 3D does not contain a binauralizer, but you can downmix Immersive to stereo within MIR Pro 3D - that's also what our new mic presets are doing! - Ben

Hi Alan, Thanks for posting your question. No., MIR Pro 3D will overwrite MIR Pro, and your projects will sound the same with MIR Pro 3D as they did before with the classic MIR Pro.

Are you familiar with what a tongue twister means in English? It is a phrase or sentence which is very difficult to say because is mixes sounds that are difficult to say in order.
The tongue twister which I altered is "She sells sea shells on the sea shore".

(English version below) Finde echt richtig klasse und toll was VSL da wieder auf die Beine gestellt hat. Wie immer. Top. Aber! (korrigiert mich wenn ich mich irre) Ich fände es konzeptionell nicht gut und auch ein wenig wie Kunden "verprellen", wenn es stimmt dass die beiden MIR Pro Produkte und Room Packs nicht nebeneinander existieren können? So les ich zumindest in Foren ... Da bringt mir der Upgrade Preis ja auch nichts wenn ich alle anderen teuren Room Packs umsonst gekauft hätte und nun nicht mehr in 3D oder zumindest nicht nebeneinander in den 2 verschiedenen Plugins verwenden kann. Sie aber auch so nicht mehr verwenden kann, weil MIR Pro und MIR PRO 3D nicht als 2 verschiedene sondern als Upgrade Plugins funktionieren. Nur wenn ich wieder downgrade. Das heißt, um alle Room Packs nutzen zu können die ich teuer bezahlt habe, müsste ich quasi ständig up and downgraden? Sorry, aber das wäre nicht OK. Ich lass mich aber gern korrigieren wenn ich mich irre.
English: I think it's really great and awesome what VSL has put together again. As always. Top. But! (correct me if I am wrong!) Wouldn't it be conceptually not good and also a little like customers "alienating" if the two MIR Pro products and Room Packs can not coexist? So far what I read in message boards... The upgrade price would do nothing for me then if I bought all the other older expensive Room packs and can no longer use them now in 3D or at least not side by side in the 2 different plugins, because MIR Pro and MIR PRO 3D don't work as 2 different but as upgraded plugins? I can't use them anymore because MIR Pro and MIR PRO 3D don't work as 2 different but as upgraded plugins, so I understood. Only if I downgrade again. Ni Nils, Thanks for posting such a detailed queston. The 3D RoomPacks contain the same impulse responses as the classic RoomPacks, but they have been upscaled to higher order ambisonics, for a much more precise and dense reverberation. It's up to you, which "level" you choose, from different stereo configs to complex immersive surround configs. With MIR Pro 3D, you can always get the same sound you are used to with MIR Pro.
The upgrade price gets you exactly that advantage.

One last more question to this: wouldn't it be more correct then to offer a "special refund or room pack upgrade" for those who have lately purchased room packs close before 3D came out? I, at least, know 3 owners in this trap now. Otherwise they would have purchased the room packs without use lately if upgrading now to 3D. Or do the room packs already purchased upgrade automatically with 3D to their 3D versions? That would be great, of course.
@@nilsunderseer2157 From what I read on VSL sites there it says: "Receive one free MIR 3D RoomPack when you order Vienna MIR Pro 3D or Vienna MIR Pro 3D (24)! Add one or more MIR 3D RoomPacks to your basket in the same order, and the most expensive RoomPack in your basket will be free of charge! If you have already registered all six previously available MIR RoomPacks, all six MIR 3D RoomPacks will be free of charge and added to your basket automatically. Please note that Vienna MIR Pro 3D only loads MIR 3D RoomPacks, not the previous "2D" RoomPacks." -- So not sure if the last lines is what you have asked for and I do not know if this is also the case if you have not ALL 6 room packs registered yet but lets say only 3 or 4, their offer is kind of confusing formulated, but that's what I found so far worrying about the same things like you. Maybe @Vienna Symphonic Library @Paul can chime some light into if this is the case for any count of already registered room packs, or just in case of all 6.
@@ViennaSymphonicLibrary Still not sure yet after reading comments here and the notes on the product sites: DOES all my existing and registered previous Room Packs which I ALREADY DO HAVE gonna be upgraded with MIR pro to 3D or not? The product site just states that if you HAVE ALL Room Packs their upgrades will be added to your basket for free automatically. But it does NOT say CLEARLY if this is the case IF you have ONLY SOME of them.
