Thanks for sharing the statistics! I'm one of the 11,000 who signed up for the 200 new T-Lines in Singapore. I don't feel half as bad now that I didn't get selected. Like your 2-speed, my upgraded M2LX at 7.9kg weighs close to the T-Line too 😉
My original 2019 Lightweight has been made lighter with several parts also from titanium and carbon (The metal brackets holding the mudguards , with titanium struts, are heavy, and to be replaced with carbon!), latest a new shorter seat post from titanium. But I like my 6 gears, and I may loose some kilos also, to bring the total weight of both down! For now it weighs 9,35, and still with easy, but expensive ways to make it even lighter.
Around 15:03, you said " I can hear the bike from far back, sounds nice. A lot of people can hear you coming so that's pretty good". I like my bikes quiet. I ride on some bike paths and trails that have a lot of small animals and birds. I think that will scare them away. Also, I rather ride stealthily. If I need to alert someone I can use my bell. I wonder if there's a way to make it quiet, or if Brompton will have an option. I'm looking into getting a P line myself and that is one thing I don't like about it.
🧑🏼🦲Yes this one is loud which I like. The 2 speed is quiet in comparison so you should definitely visit a dealer to see which one sounds the quietest 👍🏼
Superb video building up to the excitement of collection , the time within store to take everything in and then the first spin of the wheels in a city environment . I am intrigued loving all things titanium the metal of the gods of course , as to why given the main frame is finally Ti after so long , But curious as to why they did not include at least a Ti option for forks and seat post as both are still available on other models . Hope they at least address this in time as I am certain purists will demand an ALL Ti spec when placing their order .
🧑🏼🦲 Thank you! From my experience with titanium (not just bikes but outdoor gear) The carbon parts are stiffer and offer a sportier ride over titanium. They carbon fork is much thicker than the titanium one so it feels much stronger.

Thank you. The T-Line was $5000 but it went up $500 dollars right now. It's been a great bike. The production on the T-Line seems to be getting better here as they don't get sold out right away in the stores. I hope they will be able to produce more in Singapore. I bet Singapore is the most popular right now. I hear a new CHPT3 edition in the P line is coming out soon. That might be a nice depending on the price. Good luck!

👨🏻🦲The T-Line is completely different than my steel and super light. My Steel bike is like a Volkswagen, Super light like a Mercedes and the T-Line is like a Porsche! lol It's hard to describe but they ride completely different. Each has a purpose though. I don't think one is better than the other. It just depends what you are looking for the bike to do.
I haven't tested it enough but I loved my CHP3 6 speed. It had all the gears I needed. I don't think this is as good, but for most of my riding it is plenty. What sort of riding do you do?

I think all Bromptons have a different purpose. The C line is just as good as the P or T line in my opinion. The T line is for people that need to carry there bikes up and down often, want to have a bike similar to a road bike or have the money to buy it. You can easily make a C line just as nice over time like my blue 2 speed. I enjoy modifyiing my two speed.
🧑🏼🦲Bike lanes are smooth especially if they have new paint. I don't notice any harsh vibrations when I ride in the city. It's actually nice riding in the city bike lanes except when there are puddles.
I would buy any Brompton model but it depends on what your looking for. My Superlight is my commuter bike. The Steel one is our family bike. The T-Line is my weekend bike where I want to go faster. If you have the money, the T-Line is the best at everything, but the other models are great too.
Would you highly recommend Brompton Junction (NYC)? I live at least 3.5 hours away from NYC (by car and train) and am considering making the trip in to look at and potentially purchase a P Line. Would you recommend a Brompton Junction over other Brompton dealers (if there are others in NYC)? I am thinking the 4 speed will meet my overall needs of an all around bicycle (flat and hills). Any suggestions of things I should consider when making the decision?
🧑🏼🦲 The Brompton Junction is a great place but you should call them to make sure they are open. They seem to have random days off to train staff lately. Dealers are also great if they have the bike in stock. These says that is rare but you may get lucky. I love BFold in NYC. They know their Bromptons and have great service.
Wanted to ask you if you felt any difference in the smoothness in how the seat tube drops or lifts when folding and unfolding compared to the other Bromptons you have.
@@BromptonFamilyTime I’ve noticed mine tends to drop but as it goes down to some point it’s there is a brief moment of resistance after which it drops normally.
Just don't understand this 4 speed decision by Brompton. You have no way near the wide range of gear ratios of the previous Superlight. People who are relatively fit with SL-6spd will fly by this 4spd gearing uphill, on the flat and downhill whatever the weight difference.
🧑🏼🦲 The 6 speed is definitely nicer for all riding especially those that need the gears outside the cities. The 4 speed is catered to the city riders. I was 50/50 on deciding whether to get the single speed or 4 gear. I rarely change gears but Shoko uses the gears more so we went with the 4 gear. Weight difference isn't that big either ✌️
@@BromptonFamilyTime Agreed - just not sure why they did not offer both the 4 and 6 speed options in say just the P-Line at least. The Titanium forks and rear triangle do give you a nicer ride - so it is nice for that alone. Interestingly Brompton are still offering that combination in their flagship CHPT3 special edition - but that is not cheap!! Just hope my SL-6 is never stolen, as I have no real way to replace it now :)

Tiパーツでカスタムした方にはタンナスタイヤが付いているのでタイヤの摩擦力(？)が大きく、こぐのにだいぶパワーが必要だと思います。旦那の方が筋力もスタミナもあるのでクラウドブルーの方に乗ってもらって、私がTラインに乗ったら丁度同スピードで行ける感じです。旦那がTラインに乗ったら、「スピード的に3割は違う」と言っていました。タイヤの大きさも作用していると思います。

The rear wheel is stock and the front is a phil wood hub wheel. I am switching to another set soon once the salty roads go away.

👨🏻🦲The T-Line is completely different than my steel and super light. My Steel bike is like a Volkswagen, Super light like a Mercedes and the T-Line is like a Porsche! lol It's hard to describe but they ride completely different. Each has a purpose though. I don't think one is better than the other. It just depends what you are looking for the bike to do.

👩🏻 Hi. Our new bike has 4 speed gearing. Brompton company also offers T Line with single speed.

I haven't tested it enough but I loved my CHP3 6 speed. It had all the gears I needed. I don't think this is as good, but for most of my riding it is plenty. What sort of riding do you do?

I think all Bromptons have a different purpose. The C line is just as good as the P or T line in my opinion. The T line is for people that need to carry there bikes up and down often, want to have a bike similar to a road bike or have the money to buy it. You can easily make a C line just as nice over time like my blue 2 speed. I enjoy modifyiing my two speed.

I also wanted to ask both of you,due to the fact that you ride the Brompton in the city of NY,how is the suspension,due you feel all the bumps?
🧑🏼🦲Bike lanes are smooth especially if they have new paint. I don't notice any harsh vibrations when I ride in the city. It's actually nice riding in the city bike lanes except when there are puddles.

Nice Video and I‘ve got a question. Is it worth to buy a t-line than a c-line?
I would buy any Brompton model but it depends on what your looking for. My Superlight is my commuter bike. The Steel one is our family bike. The T-Line is my weekend bike where I want to go faster. If you have the money, the T-Line is the best at everything, but the other models are great too.

Would you highly recommend Brompton Junction (NYC)? I live at least 3.5 hours away from NYC (by car and train) and am considering making the trip in to look at and potentially purchase a P Line. Would you recommend a Brompton Junction over other Brompton dealers (if there are others in NYC)? I am thinking the 4 speed will meet my overall needs of an all around bicycle (flat and hills). Any suggestions of things I should consider when making the decision?
🧑🏼🦲 The Brompton Junction is a great place but you should call them to make sure they are open. They seem to have random days off to train staff lately. Dealers are also great if they have the bike in stock. These says that is rare but you may get lucky. I love BFold in NYC. They know their Bromptons and have great service.

Wanted to ask you if you felt any difference in the smoothness in how the seat tube drops or lifts when folding and unfolding compared to the other Bromptons you have.
It feels the same to me. I haven't used a stock one in a long time though. The berry and blue bike have titanium posts. They all seem the same.
@@BromptonFamilyTime I’ve noticed mine tends to drop but as it goes down to some point it’s there is a brief moment of resistance after which it drops normally.

Just don't understand this 4 speed decision by Brompton. You have no way near the wide range of gear ratios of the previous Superlight. People who are relatively fit with SL-6spd will fly by this 4spd gearing uphill, on the flat and downhill whatever the weight difference.
🧑🏼🦲 The 6 speed is definitely nicer for all riding especially those that need the gears outside the cities. The 4 speed is catered to the city riders. I was 50/50 on deciding whether to get the single speed or 4 gear. I rarely change gears but Shoko uses the gears more so we went with the 4 gear. Weight difference isn't that big either ✌️
@@BromptonFamilyTime Agreed - just not sure why they did not offer both the 4 and 6 speed options in say just the P-Line at least. The Titanium forks and rear triangle do give you a nicer ride - so it is nice for that alone. Interestingly Brompton are still offering that combination in their flagship CHPT3 special edition - but that is not cheap!!
Just hope my SL-6 is never stolen, as I have no real way to replace it now :)

I had my B75 stolen when I popped into a shop for literally 5 mins (it was locked). My new one never is out of my sight now!! Take care of both of yours...it will be sought after.

👩🏻Hi, Vincent. We were there to "pick up a bike". One of us only had one bike on the way there so after pick up a new bike we have TWO bikes and cruise around together..... or do you mean one of us should have run along on the way to Junction? I guess that would work, too. 😅
