You asked why didn't Rick want to bring Morty with him. I think it was because he was scared of losing someone else to Rick Prime.

The sad part was rick c-137 is his wife died so he have no beth (daughter) no summer( grandchildren) than morty he have nothing .😢
Now that Rick prime is dead Morty is the only one left from his family in season 1

You just sent me down a rabbit hole of research with this comment. Idk how...but I COMPLETELY failed to put together that "Our" Rick is not actually ours. That he took Rick Prime's place and that THAT's his family we've been hanging out with. It's hard for me to follow longer plots when they're spread across so many seasons with only an episode or 2 relating per season, but holy shit. I need to rewatch like...now.
The end credit scene is so bittersweet because it shows what Rick could have possibly had if he hadn’t decided to go down the path of vengeance.
I love how this happens in the middle and gives us that exact same "well.. what now?" Feeling that rick has.

I especially love the ending of this episode, it’s a direct call back to when Morty. Had his world turned upside down after his original world was Cronenberged. The same song even plays as well in the background. The only difference is it’s Ricks perspective now.
I could see a PTSD episode in the future where Rick starts seeing patterns where there aren't and connecting them to Rick Prime. Like his brain is wired to hunt Rick Prime doesn't know how to process a world without.
Like a "Wild Goose Chase" episode, such as the episode from Teen Titans when Robin kept seeing Slade.
Could be called "Wild Rick Chase"
I really hope they don't cheapen the death by somehow bringing him back

Evil morty was helping Rick find Rick prime because ricks machine was causing earthquakes even outside the central finite curve where evil morty was staying he helped Rick so Rick would stop using the machine and leave him alone
I think evil morty's paradise is still in the finite curve. You can see at 3:14. The one beeping red is where he's at.

@@MrKneeBeeYT the point of him destroying the barrier of central finite curve is to travel everywhere he want outside and inside the central finite curve. You can see at 3:14 the beeping red dimension (inside the curve) literally said "approaching" before evil morty enter his paradise. And Our rick and morty basically using that machine/ space ship to merge dimensions inside the curve to look for rick prime, because he's still inside the curve. That's why at 3:54 it said "curve integrity compromised" and evil morty's paradise got affected because that paradise is still inside the curve. Then what's the reason why he chose to stay or made his paradise inside the curve? Idk. Maybe because outside curve it's just too unstable and full of unknown. Noticed when he got back to his paradise, his robot asked "how's the horror of the infinite today, sir?"
You saw Slow Mobius in the season one finale as a guest at Rick's party.
there is a significant emptiness to the success of your revenge when someone carried the assisting, especially when it's someone you can't control, or stop.
Yeah, I don't really think this'll be the end of that storyline. We've gotta unpack haha
@@EversPrimeTime I think the ending was perfectly described. Most of your whole adult life was focused on revenge, what do you do after you got it, especially now in your golden years
Somewhat of an underwhelming episode in some ways, but as you said, it seems deliberate. A statement that if you dedicate your life to revenge, even if you succeed, it's ultimately going to be a hollow victory that doesn't actually fix anything. And then contrasting that to Mrs. Slow Mobius who may have started out searching for revenge but wound up falling in love again and was able to move on with her life, unlike Rick. I also liked the fact that the music that plays at the end is the same one as from the season 1 Cronenberg episode, where it was Morty at the end struggling to process events.
I suspect we'll get another lore-heavy episode at the end of the season, as that's the show's general practice, one mid-season and one at the end. My own guess is that it'll deal with Rick struggling to figure out what his life is about now, and possibly introduce us to whatever the next story arc will be for the next couple of seasons.
I'll be super shocked honestly if we don't get to explore rick's head a bit after this episode. It seems like that's the direction to go in. I'm excited to see where they go with this.
I just thought abt it and u know he had a chance to end his revenge with his best friend bird person but he got rejected and couldn't stop there
Evil Morty helped Rick because h realized Rick Prime was eventually going to kill Morty across dimensions as well, thus killing him. It was mostly self preservation. But he still didn't have to let Rick kill him, that was 50% nice of him.
I absolutely love how unsatisfying that ending was. It FELT empty. This has been Rick's through-line goal for possibly more than half of his life, and it's just... over. He finally did it. But now what? It didn't fix anything. It clearly didn't give him any feelings of closure. He must have played out how it could end so many times in his head over the last few decades, and I highly doubt any of those fantasies were like what he wound up getting. It was hard to watch this one. This is definitely my favorite episode of the season so far.
It felt satisfying when he was killing him, but yes not after he did.
The intro sequence with the Blade Runner-style soundtrack is one of the best ever of the whole series. It's a theme embedded into some of the deepest and most powerful sci-fi: That true freedom is endless work and danger.

Ok so i loooved your reaction, i was just like you all the way trough haha, also i was wondering too and uncle Slo was in the episode with the Abradolf Lincler clone for like 5 seconds haha. Also i dont know if you caught that but prime said "we’re the only two Ricks who created portal power" so these two really were special in their way. And lastly the end credit is cute but its so sad to mirror it to Rick, they made the same parcour except Rick never gave up, be he too could be just happy living, like miss Slo with her new husband 🥲 but anyways big cheers my guy, i hope this one gets in the algo, you deserve it very much 🤞😁
Oh, wow. It was written by a fan? Explains why they didn't talk down to us with the usual "now everyone can shut up about it!" we typically get with canon episodes haha.

i think the end credit is to show what Rick could have had if he had moved on and could have had a happy life. Revenge did not make him happy this is to show what could have been

One thing I noticed that a lot of other people haven’t commented on but maybe I’m overthinking it, Rick Prime says to Our Rick that he’s the second out of the only two Rick’s (Rick Prime and our Rick) to actually invent inter-dimensional travel. Which then probably explains why the Citadel sold portals fluid. Cause C-137 made the Citadel. Obviously could be overthinking it

Yeah Rick prime is probably the smartest and most capable. He discovered it first. Killing Diane caused our Rick to go above and beyond, discover it himself, and reach a rick prime level. People keep saying Evil morty is as smart as our rick, but all that morty did was copy the intelligence of a bunch of inferior ricks. It makes him probably more experienced, and able to think outside the box, but he had to do a LOT of work to be able to do something either of the 2 Ricks have done.
This explains why evil Morty didn't kill our Rick. He needed him alive because him and Rick Prime are the only two Rick's who invented portal travel in their dimensions. Rick C-137 was one of the only Rick's who could get him out of the central finite curve.
The way I think about the resolution rick got is the addiction of looking for his family's killer is over.
it doesn't bring Diane back. It does bring him any satisfaction. Just shows how empty is life is now rick prime is gone. To which now he cant ignore his issues anymore. Because remember in the fear hole it was mentioned the rick used to be a light weight when it came to drinking, compare that to now. Rick has a lot of healing to do.
The reason why we didn't see any other being with interdimensional technology is because the curve deprived all the possible dimensions where anyone other than Rick had said technology, but the series has shown us that this does not mean that it will be like this forever, in various seasons it has been shown to us that there are severely intelligent races like the aliens in episode 4.
So the only reason none of those alien species have gotten interdimensional technology is because Rick is always there to get rid of them before they get it. But if Rick never finds out that these species are reaching that level of intelligence, at a certain moment in time they are capable of surpassing him, we saw it with the dinosaurs, Rick did not know of their existence until they became more intelligent and almost omnipotent on their own.
But at the end of the day, one way or another Rick makes sure that he is always the smartest of them all even under all those conditions.
But where Evil Morty lives is different, a sector of the multiverse where Rick never intervenes in the technological advancement of any species, making everyone achieve interdimensional travel in any moment. In a certain sense, the curve could be considered a way to prevent multiversal catastrophe, because limiting interdimensional travel to a single person generates control.
A multiverse where everyone can be like Rick anywhere and any time? It sounds much worse than Rick being the only Rick per dimension...
Evil Morty is king. Change my mind.

I guess you might have figured that out in the meantime, but Evil Morty did not destroy the curve, he just managed to leave it. The curve is still fine, and the only exit one could have of the curve without the Golden Portal Gun was the breach that closed last season. It just shows that outside of the Curve is utter chaos, due to an infinity of people being the smartest people in their universes coming into the infinite. The reason Morty came back is because his fortress looks like it is latched against the Curve, so any activity destabilizing the Curve also makes his fortress unstable.
„The only two ricks that ever invented portal travel“. So our rick actually is the Prime rick now. Crazy. And amazing.
I think theres still some lore id be interested in knowing. For example:
Slow Mobius' wife and our Beth showed that the memories still remain after someone is lost to the Omega weapon. How badly was Beth scarred when she found out that her mother just vanished. Losing both parents then having Rick randomly reappear in her life.
Also, if you look closely, Prime Rick's legs can't be seen after Rick's beats him to death. Where'd he go?
Even tho Rick prime is gone. Just remember we lost some our best friends along the way and along three journey.

Slowmobius is from season 1. Also- you need to watch the 1990 film Total Recall. Not that terrible remake that came out several years ago. This episode referenced it and it’s such a fun sci fi film.

3:16 About that “consequence” remark. I read others comment that Evil Morty is outside the Central Finite Curve where Ricks were the smartest and only ones who can portal travel. So now Evil Morty is witnessing all the others who have also figured out portal travel which leads to chaos.

16:11 I felt the same way. But I agree with other commenters I’ve read that this was done on purpose. We the viewers are left the same as Rick here - satisfied, but at the same time empty and unsure. We know an episode is coming up this Sunday, but what to expect now? Rick’s purpose to finally beating Rick Prime was so built up and dealt with - brutally - in one episode now leaves Rick and the show directionless, or so it feels.
To answer your question about slo mobius he is from season 1 episode 11
In season 8, I may have a theory that Ricky will be the new Prime. And I bet they will see Rick in female version like what happen in Doctor Who.

How is it that evil Morty is so intelligent He is clearly portrayed as being intellectually superior to both Rick c-137 as well as Prime. Evil Morty is clearly more resilient and clever than any other character on the show. If someone has any idea please let me know
Because he plans with no ego attached. Rick is technologically smart…smarter than Evil Morty no question about it. But Evil Morty even Morty Prime have shown superior emotional intelligence and the ability to manipulate. EM let Rick kill Rick Prime not to be nice but to ensure there was no obstacles while he got the weapon plans. Added bonus is that EM took away Rick’s drive and left him empty. EM understands people and the fact Mortys are bred for Ricks means Rick is easy for any Morty to understand. EM just acts without the self esteem hang ups
@@tamironhill3324 Evil morty also copied the intelligence of a bunch of other ricks, and inserted that into himself. Although those ricks were inferior, that still boosted him. Because so many of them were varied he is probably better at thinking outside the box. He still had to go to insane lengths to make it outside the curve, something our Rick was able to do easily according to the start of the episode.

I'm gonna be a bit of a nancy here, but the problem with some reactors is that they talk too much and they keep missing the important details of the show because their nonstop talking muffles the show's dialogue.
I think Prime Rick is dead dead, because he could have bested any Rick, but his defeat came at the hands of a Morty that really didn’t care. We see multiple times in this episode where Rick would have been dead or hindered without Morty and EM. EM doesn’t have the ego Rick does, he isn’t driven by anger and vengeance his just wants to be left in peace and that allows him this buddhist like zen to just follow through, can’t appeal to emotion or stir him to anger can’t bait him with power he just does enough to assure his lifestyle and then dips.
Maybe we'll get back to random, wacky, goofy episodes with a more season one/two status quo feel to them. Episodic and fun multiverse shenanigans, maybe with a B story about how dysfunctional the family is like it used to be. They can keep Evil Morty / Citadel stories as a line of canon amid the episodic adventures and I'd be fine with that I actually really like those elements but as something that comes up sometimes and not all the time. Maybe a new federal government will form and everything, I kind of do miss him beefing with the bug creatures. I don't really care for the character development that takes place in this show. Season one/two status quo was a winning formula in my book. I still watch the later seasons though LOL (just not nearly as much and only a few episodes I liked rather than entire seasons) and I've been enjoying this season way more so far than I have the last few seasons. Every episode so far I have enjoyed a great deal.
Wait, why is Morty acting so goofy and naive in this episode? Is it because he lost half of his character development during the arcade game? Like his leadership skills?
The Rick voice is kinda fine tbh, but the Morty voice is getting worse with each episode, this one in particular you could really tell
