I think Evil Morty earned Rick's respect in that episode. I mean like actual respect and not just for his abilities, but his rationale at the end of the fight. Rick is probably also going to see his Morty in a different way because he knows his grandson has the potential to be just as good if not better than him.
I'm not sure he cares Ricks respect.

The post credits tag is a parody of Rick's origin story. Shot for shot too, if you have a good eye. It just poses the question ¿What if Rick had just moved on? which is pretty funny.
The irony is that Rick Prime went out of his way to make a deal with all the Ricks he could find: "Abandon their wives and daughters for the formula he created to travel the multiverse."
Why? Because he wanted to make other Ricks just like him. To prove that he wasn't the only one. But then, he met out Rick, the one who refused, and he couldn't stand the idea of any Rick being better than he is. So, he killed his wife and daughter to prove a point, that he was destined to become like him. But it didn't matter, because our Rick was still willing to give up the offer to be with his wife and daughter.
And subsequently became the only other Rick to actually Invent portal travel

I think Rick killing his nemesis also killed a decades long case of tunnel vision. He woke up and was taking everything in. That callback song to season 1 episode 6 was great too. Great parallels.
It is also with the understanding that it didn't really bring Diane back.
Sure he wasn't expecting it to, but it was something he really wasn't able to take in.

Everything for the last 3+ decades of his life has been as a result of the day where Rick Prime killed his family. The invention of portal travel, the central finite curve, the citadel of ricks, moving in with the Prime family (our morty's family) approximately 1 year before the events of the pilot, etc...
Now he's being forced to move on.
I LOVE that he mentioned only 2 ricks ever invented portal travel. Makes our Rick special. I love the new show direction a few seasons ago the conclusion would have been that he isnt special at all. But he is one if the best and that makes the show better for me. You have to be able to root for your main character.
The post-credit scene accented just how poignant and tragic Rick’s story was. Slow-Mobius’s widow was starting to go down the same dark path of grief and revenge, but by pure chance she bumped into somebody early along the way that helped kickstart the process of feeling whole again. Her timeline diverged, probability did its thing, and she went down a different path. By the time she’s made a second family with her new beau, we see Slow-Mobius’s picture still on the bedside table; he’ll always be missed, and she won’t completely move on, but at least she’s surrounded by new loved ones and looks happier for it. Rick didn’t have that chance, but we do see him surrounded by loved ones at the dinner table at the end. Same situation, same choice: succumb to despair, or move on despite it. Rick has the opportunity for a new purpose, if he wants it. The former Mrs. Slow-Mobius said yes; Rick is undecided for now.

So we still don't know why Rick Prime lost (killed?) his wife and started killing all of the others. and it's a little confusing: there are ricks who lost their wife and don't have morties, but all the ricks with mortys had their families survive
I don’t think Rick Prime lost his wife. I think that he is so apathetic that he just left or killed her then did so for all the ricks
