You deserve all the success in the world for the way you perfectly capture the sound of the instruments in early AiC albums. But - and please understand that I mean no disrespect - your vocals sound nothing like Layne or Jerry. Have you ever considered using AI to make your vocals sound more like Layne's and Jerry's voices? Just a humble suggestion. Regardless, I love these covers, and your music in general. Rock on and party on.
It strikes a chord with me that lights up 2 different senses: Nostalgia and memory, bridged together through sound and conveyance, making 2 worlds into one.
@@XX-iw8sn Layne wasn't much of a fan of anything except heroin. Jerry Cantrell is everyone's friend and had James come out and play a song live with AiC.
@@kylebatteson9572 Layne's life was not restricted to drug use. What kind of asshole comment was that? Of course Layne had a problem with both Mustaine and the Metallica jerks, but it wasn't his fault.
WOW! Your AIC covers never fail to blow my mind with the quality of how good they are. Too many times I've put my playlist on shuffle just to find myself with this sense of nostalgia when I listen to one of your songs, confused for a second while I'm trying to remember when the band did a cover of the song; then a second later remembering it is you. That's the best praise of your work I know how to give. Incredible that you're good enough to make that feeling happen. 11/10
Dude, between you and Steve Walsh you guys are killing the AiC 'What ifs...." covers and I freaking love them. I would love to see you guys do an AiC version of something like Queen's "Who wants to live forever?" or Pearl Jam's "Jeremy", I think both of those would make killer songs done in the style of AiC
DP channeling the ghost of Layne here. I had an idea what it might sound like, but he just nails the guitar and vocal tones/styles better than I could have imagined!
Very cool! Love the bass line too! This is a cool song, they should take this stuff and put their own words over it. I bet it the mainstream crowd would love this sound.
This was awesome. Wouldn’t have ever thought of attempting such as this. Made me think of Chris Cornell mashing up Metallica’s and U2’s versions of “One”.
This is right on man! I think personally you are far and away the best TH-cam music personality. Ive heard them all but you are WAY more creative and doing things YOUR way instead on following what these known bands have done. Keep this coming my friend!!!
Sick and destroy is the first complete song i learned to play back in 1994, when i bought my first guitar (aria pro II, by the way...). And Dirt was my favourite album in high school. What an amazing job you did, you show total respect for both bands and fans. Thanks for sharing.
At first I imagined you would do it in the style of "Real Thing" from Facelift, adding a kind of shuffle beat to Seek & Destroy. But what you did here really nails the overall AIC feel, from vocal harmonies to the riff styles. Great version
Man your sound is incredible 😮 Your covers are so great I'm kinda scared to check out your original's. Might never be able to listen to anyone else ever again ❤❤❤
This is so good because it's not the song with the flair of the band but rather straight up the other band. It's unrecognizable from the OG band in a good way.
Awesome, definitely hear Dirt and that one section reminded me of the solo section in Junkhead. love all your stuff. been watching for a long time. Keep up the good work brother!
Awesome to hear another Metalice in Chains! Definitely hear the title track of Dirt in here, and some Angry Chair too, but love that you brought in the swinging groove of Facelift (My favorite AiC album) along with some of the extra sludge of the self-titled. I love your AiC style For Whom the Bell Tolls a lot, but I think this is my favorite of your AiC style songs so far!
This is straight Fire Denis! However I was so in hopes you and Steve W would have done this together. I believe it would have been even better. No dis to your talent of course. But that AIC does Korn vid was just awesome. Was hoping to see another co lab.
Maaaaaaan love it!! haha can't believe I love every single cover of AIC you did 🤘🏻 🎸 well, not only Alice haha 😆 good job! definitely feels like Alice in chain
It's uncanny how much you actually sound like Layne Staley, which is NOT an easy thing to do! Every part of this is just masterful, though, not just the vocals!
One of the greatest things ive ever heard is your complete death metal version of and justice for all. Actually made me like the album. Well? Your version anyway. Absolutely rips.
The Wah pedal threw me off at first. Thought you were definitely going to go for a 'Facelift' tone rather than 'Dirt.' This was a great choice, though, and excellent execution, too. I'm blown away.
After 4 days of extended play,im convinced theres an element of Bytor&the Snow Dog's 'Battle Sequence' Sound in the background...if Intentional Bravo! The Hardest thing in the 80's i'd always Believed.. if You use that Element,it would be the Hardest Sound i could ever Imagine...!!

I am utterly amazed every time
🤘🏼🖤🎤🎸🔥
Do 'jamie's got a gun' by aerosmith in the style of Alice in Chains MTV Unplugged
You deserve all the success in the world for the way you perfectly capture the sound of the instruments in early AiC albums.

This could count for a weird version of Dirt for sure, but wow you channeled so much of the band on this. This one's mindblowing.
This is freaking sooooo good!!
Seek and DIRT-stroy
WINNER!!!!!!
From Chain em all.
that's exactly what AiC would sound like if they wrote seek and destroy. great song
Thank you so much! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Dude that is EXACTLY what I was thinking!
He nails all of them its amazing. I love type o negative its uncanny
Definitely the angry chair vibes here.
I was expecting the "SITTING ON AN ANGRY CHAIR" until he started singing the Seek and Destroy lyrics
Kinda reminds me of the title track from Dirt mixed with angry chair...
I was thinking Dirt. The bass line is almost the same in the beginning
@@playdiscgolf1546 Yeah, there are several riffs in here taken directly off the Dirt track. Some Angry Chair, but mostly Dirt.
Rain when I die
The "what the hell have I" vibes fit so damn well! Love it dude
Yeah, it can be heard a little bit! Huge thanks man! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Ughhh I love What the Hell Have I so much. It’s one of my favorites of all time from them.
I heard a Junkhead riff in there too. It was nice
Definitely sounds like a mashup of "Dirt" and "Angry Chair"! I've always loved that snake charmer riff from "Dirt"!
There's definitely a bit of "What the Hell Have I" mixed in too
Im getting the feeling of hearing a great song you haven't heard in a long time. Nostalgia for something brand new, how does that even happen?
Well said man!
It strikes a chord with me that lights up 2 different senses:
Nostalgia and memory, bridged together through sound and conveyance, making 2 worlds into one.
His versions of songs often times get stuck in my head, wish they were on Spotify. Type O Come as you Are as well as Master of Puppets especially
The very beginning definitely sounds like dirt, that got me to
This has no business being so damn good. Nailed it with this one
Everything Denis makes in AIC mode sounds incredible, it's like it is impossible for him to make a bad AIC cover song.
Keep up the great work, you have the most accurate AIC sound of all YT!
Huge thanks! Check out Steve Welsh, he does impressive AiC and many other stuff as well! 🤘🏻
Seems to flow better at 1.25x speed. Pulls the faster tempo of the original to the AIC sound. Awesome as hell
I agree
Agreed
Treehouse ! Speed Is Everything!
Damn. You’re right 😂
Yup, well observed. I thought it felt a bit slow on the first view. . .
Goddamn the level of talent you have is insane. These are always SO damn good! Thanks man!
🤘🔥🤘
I'm not sure I love Metallica, or AiC.
Well.
I actually don't own one thing by Metallica.
So uhh, by proxy, I "appreciate" Metallica now
Stop that
About 100% sure both AiC and Metallica would approve since they're all friends and fans of each other's music.
Sorta. They had a big rift for a very long time. Layne wasn’t a fan
@@XX-iw8sn Layne wasn't much of a fan of anything except heroin. Jerry Cantrell is everyone's friend and had James come out and play a song live with AiC.
Who cares?
@@christianbaumgartner677 Dave Mustaine does.

Now I'm seriously wanting to hear Sanitarium done by AIC!
Agreed!
Ooooohhhhhh myyy, that could end up #1 on the charts 🤘🤘
For sure!!!
Absolutely genius sir!!!! I’m a hardcore AiC fan and I would love to see this the reaction from AiC to this now 🤘🤘🤘
You definitely captured the AIC vibe....Nice job dude!
I closed my eyes and almost hear Layne screaming SEEEEEEEK AAAAAAAND
Hell yeah it’s best to not look. No offense to the guy at all but when you just put it on and listen it’s transcendent
Speed it up 1.25 and then listen to it and tell me what you hear
DP channeling the ghost of Layne here. I had an idea what it might sound like, but he just nails the guitar and vocal tones/styles better than I could have imagined!
I can’t help but feel there would be some cool vocal playing off going on between Layne and Jerry, maybe on the bridge.
Definitely some wild Layne in there somewhere
The first 40 seconds definitely took me back to a great era of metal 🤘
Beautifully done!
Gold as always denis...love all your videos....keep on rocking and the great work you do too my friend.
Thank you so much! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
you are reaching an amazing level of professionalism here.
Them vocals are chilling !! Awesome job! CHEERS!
I hope James and Jerry see this. 😅Well done.
Hope layne sees it!
Very cool! Love the bass line too! This is a cool song, they should take this stuff and put their own words over it. I bet it the mainstream crowd would love this sound.
let's make Jerry react!!!
Really cool. Yes definitely Angry Chair and Dirt (song) vibes.
I think this is your best one! Excellent job buddy!
This was awesome. Wouldn’t have ever thought of attempting such as this. Made me think of Chris Cornell mashing up Metallica’s and U2’s versions of “One”.
Loved your tone on this. Nice!

Dude your work is amazing!
Damn, Lane is smiling down upon you during this. Great freaking job man.
These things can get pretty lazy at times, but this is very creative and a complete retooling. Great work

hearing what it would sound like if "friends let friends cover their tune" is GOLD
This is so good because it's not the song with the flair of the band but rather straight up the other band. It's unrecognizable from the OG band in a good way.

This is spot-on! Nicely done!! 🤘😈🤘
It's uncanny how much you actually sound like Layne Staley, which is NOT an easy thing to do! Every part of this is just masterful, though, not just the vocals!
You mean his harmonies with Cantrell, not his solo vocals.
Please.......
Bro this is awesome! You nailed it! My new favorite
That sounds pretty sick. Your guitar tone is quite impressive, decent singing as well..

Hell i would go see this in concert. Shit it’s awesome
Just killer as always! 🤌
Very creative brother
Great JOB!
Masterfully done.
J'adore !! bravo pour le travail, ton travail mérite d'être plus reconnue !!
Amazing with a Paradise Lost touch
It's funny how much Kirk and Jerry both lean on the wah pedal, but sound completely different from each other.
Wow it’s as if AIC never left and wow on the breakdowns. ❤
Friend, your videos are very good, watching them here in Brazil, you are very good and know a lot about rock, congratulations...

Ffs! So on pointe, im loving it.
