      Hi David, Finding fast internet in El Salvador can be challenging. As at December 2021, El Salvador ranked 81st in the world for mobile internet speed and 112th for fixed broadband speed. On the plus side, free wifi comes standard with most short-term accommodation. You can also find free wifi in many restaurants and cafes catered to tourists. However in saying that, it is possible to find places in the country that do have reasonable internet speeds and there are definitely digital nomads living there. Hi Fahim, it is possible to get by on around US$50 a day for a couple, as we did. If you are single then around $US30-40 is feasible. If you are doing a lot of activities in that time then you are probably looking at closer to US$60-80 a day.

    Hi my daughter and I will be traveling there for Presidents’ Day weekend in February and I would love to know the name of the shuttle you used to go from Guatemala to El Salvador and I wanted to let you know that I’ll be staying in this Hotel Tunco Lodge and the driver for that hotel was charging me and my daughter $45 per person to be picked up from the airport and be returned to the airport which I think is rather high so if you couldtell me and your other comment or the best way to travel from the airport to the hotel or hostel that would be great so far even though I haven’t started my trip yet I can already feel the price jacking from certain vendors

    • @BucketListTravellers
      @BucketListTravellers  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Milana, unfortunately we lost the receipt so can't tell you the company. In any case we wouldn't recommend them as we felt we were scammed at the border as the driver was asking for more money to get us through the customs. We stood out ground and didn't have to pay extra. $45 per person does sound a little high. If you are going to be in Antigua then we recommend you check a few hostels there to compare prices for trips to El Tunco Ours were 125 quetzals per person back in 2020, so it may have increased since then but should be less than $45.
