I am a 68 year old woman and 2 years ago I was thrown out like a dirty rag by my mother and one of my daughters because for the first time in my life I put my own health, energy and time before theirs. The blow was so cruel that I was able to wake up and gradually realize that all my life I had been hiding the pain of trauma from myself. The guides on my path of growth were and are ETERNAL listening to videos like this one with Gabor Mate. I thank from the bottom of my heart the people who teach us this wisdom and the people who spread this wisdom. May you be blessed and happy holidays!🤗
Thank you so much for watching this video and for sharing your story with such honesty. It takes incredible strength to prioritize your own well-being, especially after giving so much to others for so long. I’m deeply moved by your journey and so glad that resources like this and the wisdom of Gabor Maté have been helpful to you. You are an inspiration for choosing healing and growth. May you continue to find peace and strength on your path. Wishing you many blessings and a joyful holiday season
I can’t express how deeply this video moved me. 😢 Listening to Dr. Gabor Maté talk about trauma and healing felt like he was speaking directly to my soul. Trauma is something so many of us carry in silence, hiding our pain, thinking time will heal it-but this video made me realize that healing doesn’t just happen on its own. It takes courage, vulnerability, and the willingness to face those wounds we’ve kept buried for so long. When he said that trauma isn’t what happens to us but what happens inside us, it hit me so hard. 💔 How many of us are walking around with invisible scars, thinking we’ve moved on, only to feel that pain resurface when life triggers it again? This video is a reminder that we can heal, that it’s never too late to reclaim our wholeness and nurture the parts of ourselves that we’ve neglected. If you’ve ever felt stuck, hurt, or overwhelmed by your past, please watch this. And after you do, come back here and share your thoughts-I’d love to hear what stood out to you the most. Let’s build a community where we can support and uplift each other because healing isn’t something we have to do alone. ❤ #TraumaHealing, #SelfHealing, #DrGaborMate, #EmotionalGrowth, #HealingJourney, #MentalHealth, #InnerPeace, #SpiritualGrowth, #VulnerabilityAndHealing, #EmotionalWellness

In growing up I had a Narcissistic mother as my soul parent... not knowing about Narcissistic disorders I continued to have Narcissistic partners. My last one I was with for 23years and I tried to leave him repeatedly but kept coming back. The relationship between us was very codependent and after 13 years of his being gone..he left me finally...I still have trouble going forward with my life.
